Quaint lil spot hidden away in the ally’s of Statesville. Great Cajun cuisine, upbeat staff and solid French quarter ambiance. Large libation selections.

Went to The Quarter in Statesville 3-9-24 in our opinion this place is an AA+ we thought we were just going out for supper but it was more of an experience. Very small maybe 40 people capacity and the food was awesome. Our server Tayla L.was fantastic and very knowledgeable of the food and drinks. We will most definitely be back. If you want cheap then I suggest don’t go. But the quality of the food, service and atmosphere is way worth the price.

I wouldn't know anything about the food - although we were excited to try it. We were turned away at the door on a Tuesday at 5:30 because one of our party was under 18. We thought this was a "restaurant" not a "bar". Unbelievable in a town as small as Statesville. Do they not realize this town is full of families? The place was practically empty so I was surprised they wanted to turn away business...

I’ll start by saying I recognize this is place brand new and staff is still learning - I believe they’ll find their groove soon and we’ll likely visit frequently. Our experience last night was ok. I enjoyed the atmosphere and like how the moved the bar to the other wall (from the previous establishment) - everything was a nice layout and had a good feel.I asked our server for a recommendation and she suggested the beef po boy, so that’s what I got. It was served an a *huge* and perfect bun which I loved, but there was way too much meat, and the beef was dry (which made it lose most of its flavor). I appreciate their generosity, but I had to take most of the beef off the bun just so I could eat it. The fries on my plate had clearly been sitting out for probably 30 min as they were almost warm and a bit soggy. But I could tell they would be fantastic if served fresh - good flavor. My wife got the crispy red snapper and she really liked it. I tried a bite and also thought it was great - highly recommend.Disappointed there were no gluten free options - hoping that will come.Overall, the menu was ok — we’ve eaten at a number of Louisiana/New Orleans-style places and we were hoping to see more options. Our server was very nice.I have high hopes for The Quarter and we’ll try again in a few weeks; I’m sure they’ll have the kinks worked out. Seems like there’s lots of potential.Dietary restrictions: As of this writing, no gluten free options. Hope to see in the future.Kid-friendliness: There’s a sign on the door stating you must be 18 and older to enter; it’s not a place to bring kids.

We had to come try out the new place! I started off with a Bloody Mary that was actually one of the better ones I've had in Statesville. Hubby got a can of Sweet Josie which is ALWAYS good! He ordered the catfish plate which he says is delicious! Y'all. I ordered the muffuletta po boy. It was FAAABULOUS! I've been looking for a place that serves these sandwiches forever. Having to go all the way to Huntersville just does not do it for me. I am so happy they have it here -and even a muffuletta charcuterie! It's a very tiny place so if you're bringing a lot of people you might want to see if you can reserve the space. We will definitely be back! Oh, and the waitresses are fantastic! So nice and attentive!

Went to The Quarter last night 2/24. There seems to be confusion with seating. It is first come/ first serve and that caused a bit of confusion. Some people (like me) waited to tables to be cleaned while others jumped ahead and sat at dirty tables. This made several people angry and leave. Now on to food, we ordered two apps; cornbread and Gumbo. The Gumbo was tasty but they used kielbasa style sausage. The cornbread had whole kernels and was on the sweet side, small portion for $10. For our meal we ordered Blackened Snapper with white rice and the Muffaletta with seasoned fries (I wanted to sub red beans and rice but the server was unsure if she could do it, so I just went with it) Both were good. The sandwich is served on a large baguette-be prepared to take half home or get one to share. To finish off the evening we had the chocolate cake, bloody thing was huge! Our server was kind, well dressed and friendly. She was in the weeds—deep. Total time from entering to leaving was over two hours. We had about a 20 minute wait. Our apps and food were presented at the same time, not by our choice. Our server was running around in and out of the kitchen, going behind the bar for drinks and busing tables. She was working way too hard when the bartender was casually working. The food runner came out a few times but did not assist with busing, and we never saw them again. Our poor server was left doing it all. Bringing out food, getting drinks & cleaning. All this caused us to remain seated and waiting, waiting to order, waiting on drinks, waiting on food and our check. Several times we were forgotten but again our server was doing it all, not her fault. I would believe these problems are just growing pains of a new business but from what I have heard the owners are seasoned restaurant owners. I will chalk this up to bad ownership or training. Seven tables-2 six tops, 5 four tops and seating at the bar. It looks like they will have a few tables outside when the weather warms up.Two apps, two meals, dessert and 5 beers-$99 and change. Will I return? Most likely. Hopefully they change how the staff works, or the second time will be my last.(Forgot to take pictures of the food)

As a Cajun from CajuLand, I am often left feeling disappointed when sampling Cajun food outside of Southeast Louisiana. So, imagine my surprise when a Cajun restaurant opens in the area that I live now. It’s not too bright but a little brighter and it would be easier for some folks to read their menus (my husband is blind.) The paintings on the walls in the restaurant look good but the art work in the bathrooms is really awesome. The menu is boldly printed but the descriptions are smaller print and a little hard to read for my husband (again, he is blind.) King Cake Martini tastes like you injected vodka into a snickerdoodle king cake from Canatas (so top shelf good) and the pineapple mimosa was yummy. The seafood dip with beignets was good. The beignets were crispy and delicious and my husband doesn’t like pimentos but he says he didn’t taste a single one so that was good. My husband had the muffuletta po’boy. He said it was good. I had the etouffe pasta and while initially it was off putting with noodles instead of rice, it grew on me as I ate my way through the plate. I actually licked my bowl. It was freaking awesome. But the star of the show was the powdered sugar beignets which tasted like Houm-a. Great job team and laissez Les bon temps rouler!!!

Was so excited to have a new place in statesville. Very disappointing. The owners said they planned the resturant based on a weekend trip to new oreleans. The lack of care is evident in the food. Waited almost an hour for 2 basic things. No gluten free food at all. Fried fish was slimy.Dietary restrictions: Don't come here if you have a food allergy
