C'mon down and Mavericks will surely disappoint you, and I bet they'll be glad they did so.From the lazy, overpriced bar food to the condescending, rude treatment from the staff (and owner), this place will leave you wishing you'd spent your money, and time -they are slow af- somewhere else.When this place goes out of business, and it will the way it's run, I'll come by for a beer before close. Stopped there while we were down this October to watch our Lions play. They accommodated us with the game on one of their tvs, the waiter was so kind, we ordered some apps and drinks and then got into some dinner afterward. The food was pretty decent and the atmosphere was comfortable. Some of the locals were salty that we beat the Panthers this season but what can we say? Go Lions!

We just had the most wonderful meal. We started with the mozzarella sticks and boom boom shrimp. The shrimp were big, fresh, crispy and the sauce was the perfect blend of spicy. For dinner our girls had chicken tenders and fries and a grilled cheese which were plentiful and they loved. The teriyaki wings were tangy, with a crispy skin, tender chicken and loaded with meat. The burger was actual cooked the way I requested it as medium rare and juicy. The house margarita hit the spot just right as well as the Bahama Mamma. The atmosphere was relaxed, fun and friendly. Service was exceptional. Whole place got singing together at one point. Such fun!

This is our second year coming to sunset, thought we would try this place out this time. The crab cake sandwich was decent, it had a fair amount of filler. I’ve had worst, so that’s a plus in my book. Seemed like a lot of the beer on the menu was not in stock. So, maybe keeping an updated draft menu could help. My wife got the onion rings as her side, they were pretty good. The service was above average, no real complaints.

Stopped by before going to a Turtle hatchling event. Got to watch the football game which was a plus. A bacon burger will set you back about $13 bucks came with fries (OH AND A LITTLE PIECE OF BEACON LOL ?) which is not bad for the times we are living in. 1-10 on the burger ? I would say a 7 1/2. Waitress was on point & super nice. Which is hard to find nowadays. Would I recommend yes. If you are bougie this is not the place for you. More laid back comfortable atmosphere.

McKenna was an amazing waitress. I came for 4th of July and she was absolutely outstanding in her service! From the moment I stepped into Mavericks in Sunset Beach, McKenna's warm and friendly demeanor made me feel right at home. The 4th of July rush didn't seem to faze her at all; she was poised and attentive, ensuring that every guest received the attention they deserved. She made sure I got my food quickly and efficiently, and even talked to me on a personal basis. McKenna is amazing!

Over priced bar food!!! Basic burgers, wings, salads… then fighting flies in the restaurant with only 2 people working. (1 running the bar and 1 waitress hosting and taking orders) Felt sorry for the waitress… running non stop by herself! Would not recommend, very disappointed!
