Course clubhouse is under renovation. No access except for restrooms. Greens were OK. Fairways and bunkers need work. Nothing special about the maples course.
Currently no driving range. Fairways and greens in fair condition but everything else is pretty rough. They seem to allow carts everywhere with few limits so most of the areas around the greens are beaten bare.
Our group only played the front 9. Clubhouse is outdated. I will say that every green on the front 9 was surprisingly in fantastic shape. There was a little difficulty navigating to the second hole tee box as there was no signs telling people where to go. Cart paths are in rough shape, but the course is general is very nice. You can see they are working on improving a few holes in some areas.
One of my favorite courses in Myrtle Beach and I have played them all, including all that are no longer around. Fair yet challenging with no gimmicky holes.
Group of 8 played Sea trail Maples on April 5th. Great Staff,Super friendly.
They have done a Great Job with the Course. Fairways are plush and Greans are in great shape role true oe have a couple with some very minor spots. Overall Great day on a Great course. Definitely recommend.
Greens were in terrible shape. Half of the greens were full of dead spots. The cart paths were bumpy enough to rearrange your spine. Not worth the price tag until they at least get the greens sorted out.
Been golfing for over 30 years. This is one of the worst turf management i have ever seen. Open dirt on; crab grass and weeds on diseased greens,. Poor drainage
This course should be moved up on the rehab list. Its a shame the Head Pro did not offer rebates or refunds for visiting golfers who purchased a Sea Trail golf package.
The jesture of southern hospitality was missed by 5514 yards!!!
Don't waste your money or time on Maple, out of 18 holes there were 7 holes that were decent enough to actually putt on.
Maybe the Pro will visit us in the Maryland area, he'll see what an "open for business" golf course should look like, even the public ones.
Very disappointed .......
Single worst goat pasture in myrtle beach area. Horrible fairways, tee boxes, terrible greens, no running water in bathrooms. All topped off by a horrifically rude greeters and starters. Complete rip off no matter what you payed to play here
I had recently wrote a review saying how the staff was nice course but the course was in poor condition. Then I got to the back 9. Not only should the staff be embarrassed to allow unknowing people pay 50$ play this course, they should also be embarrassed to work at a course that is this dreadful. There was a hole with the pin in the fairway no green at all and I wasn’t informed of before I played. This is the biggest scam of a course I have ever played. Easily the worst conditions there is. It is sickening that they are willing to charge people to play a course, not let them know the conditions and be okay with that. I wouldn’t play this course again if I got paid 50 bucks. What a sorry excuse for a corse and an embarrassment to the golf community.

This was a very nice course. I will definitely be going back here again soon and it’s on my short list when visiting on vacation.
Only things that stopped this place from getting 5 stars from me was the cart paths and that they didn’t have any food.
We had a great time playing the Maples course. The layout was fun and challenging. There seemed to be a lot more shade than other courses which was nice. Several holes are really scenic. Staff is very friendly.
Overpriced for quality of course. Cart paths, fairways, tee boxes, and greens were all in bad shape. Play the ocean ridge plantation courses, much more worth it in my opinion. They need to start worrying more about the condition of the course and less about what clubs you bring or what you’re wearing.
This was a fun course. I am a single digit handicap and found the course overall to be fun and offered several unique challenges.
The layout is a little confusing. We played the maples course and there were a couple tee boxes that were oddly placed.
Overall, is seemed most people there were beginners and having fun which allowed for a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
If you are new to the game of experienced, you will enjoy this course.
Much improved conditions. Friendly staff. Very reasonable rates.
