Friendly folk. Best looking, multi-sized shrimp. Their scallops are spot on as well. Great prices, worth the drive. They offer to double bag in a little ice for transport. Clean selling environment as well. Love these peeps!!!

On the water, shrimp boats pull up outside unload; people from the neighborhood come in to sort the shrimp and pop the heads off, which go right off the dock to feed the crabs. They sell right there on the dock, and box it up in 50# crates for wholesale. All family business, including the shrimpers. Shrimp couldn’t be fresher and great prices. Other seafood (scallops, grouper, etc) is usually frozen because shrimp is their main business.

This family-owned business started 10 years ago. We have been buying fresh caught shrimp from the time they started. We pool our orders with friends and typically buy 100 lbs. or more, depending on who wants in. Today, July 13 2022, we bought 103 lbs. that were caught in our local (Brunswick County NC) waters over the last 2 days. As usual, the shrimp is awesome, and the family is even better. With diesel fuel over $5.00/gallon, many other companies would quit, or buy imported shrimp to sell as "local". Not High Rider. I can't recommend them highly enough. If you want The Best Local Shrimp available in eastern NC, check out this family. They got it going on!
This local family owned business is worthy of support. I have been buying from them for nearly 9 years now. Me and a small group of friends go in together to buy 100 lbs every 6 months of so. We typically pay cash. I keep coming back because they are the most honest shrimp vendor around. The last time we bought shrimp, they had to call me while driving back because I had paid for 10 lbs more than they gave me. We turned around and went back and got the 10 lbs. They could have ignored this, but they chose to do the right thing. Check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Simply awesome! We usually bring home 25lbs of shrimp at the end of our vacation for the freezer. First time buying from High Rider. We checked the place on the left first. Although very cheap, the guy's shrimp wasn't on ice and didn't look good at all! So we left. Last year we got it from the place to the right of them. Good, but not as good as this place. The shrimp were so fresh! We now have a new go to place when we're in that area.
