Mini Jalapeno Mexican Restaurant

We eat there a couple of times while on vacation in Holden. Can always accommodate any sized group and the service and food are outstanding!

Went for a ride on my Harley over to Holden Beach on a great 70° day. I just gone over the causeway on the way home and noticed the Mini Jalapeno Restaurant. We were greeted immediately and seated in the nice warm dining room in January with a sweet bar across the room within authentic Mexican decor. They have several Mexican beverages that they make. Their homemade lemonade was very delicious. We had a choice of warm queso or salsa and chips. The warm queso fit the atmosphere and was delicious. I enjoyed the absolutely delicious fresh seafood burrito and highly recommend. Very much looking forward to returning to this little gem in Holden Beach.

Just moved here a few months ago, and this has already become my go-to place. Food, service, value- all top notch, great quality, served promptly by great people. And the horchata es muy delicioso!! Great place for business lunches as well!

Mini Jalapeño Mexican Restaurant is hands-down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had! From the moment you walk in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere makes you feel like part of the family. The owners clearly pour their heart and soul into this place – their passion shines through in every detail, from the vibrant decor to the authentic family recipes passed down through generations. It’s evident they care deeply about providing genuine hospitality and top-quality Mexican cuisine.
The staff is incredible – always friendly, attentive, and quick with a smile, even during busy times. They go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect, offering great recommendations and ensuring your meal is just right.
And the food? Phenomenal! Everything is made with fresh ingredients and so much love. The tacos are bursting with flavor, the fajitas sizzle with perfection, and the margaritas are the ideal complement to any dish. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and every bite transports you straight to a fiesta!

Went last night and despite our server bringing out our food with oven mits the plates were hot but the food was actually cold. Restaurant was not busy so cannot assume our meals sat somewhere. Disappointing since have had good experiences in the past.

Ok, so we got a Mountain Dew and a DR pepper they were both out of syrup and had no flavor. Then we got a sweet tea it was bad too! Then we got two chicken ACP and there was barely any cheese so I won’t be returning!

Mini Jalapeño is always so delicious and we especially liked our wonderful server Ally! She was so attentive and kind. The food here is so good and has consistent quality every visit. Can’t recommend their fresh guacamole enough! Definitely a 5 star.
