Wow, this place is absolutely incredible! They have so many interesting and unique things here. Books, collectibles, antiques, food and coffee, baked goods, and more. When my wife told me that she wanted to show me the cool book store she found, I was expecting something much different - but instead, I was absolutely floored by how unique and amazing this place is. My family had a great time here and found many cool items to take home. Very highly recommend.

This is easily mine off my top 3 favorite bookstores ever ( and I’ve visited many). It’s very unassuming, and easily mistaken for a bakery or something. There are delightful baked goods available, as well as other local food items and coffee, but this place is so much more! Walking in the place smashes you as a vintage store with goodies. Every minute you are inside you discover something new, whether it’s an old toy from your childhood or an incredibly old classic book, making it a place to spend time discovering. The upstairs is a wonderful imagination station for adults and children including toys, dress up attire, and more books than imaginable.

Wonderful book and sweet shop with so many nooks and crannies to be explored. It was our first time shopping here and could have spent the day just browsing. Got a key lime pie from their bakery and it was homemade and delicious. Wish I would have found it on our first day of vacation instead of the last!

We go town to Topsail 2-3 times a year and Sugar Island is always on our list of places to visit. The employees are very nice and friendly. The shop is cute and cozy with lots of books! But what we like best is the baked goods. Y'all their buttercream is the best I've ever had. The cookie sandwiches are heavenly like I'm ready to drive 3 hours right now to go get one. They also roast their own coffee and as a coffee lover, I love it! So if you're going to the beach make sure you stop here!

We went here 2 years ago on vacation and fell in love. Now it’s a tradition to stop in and grab a drink. Best customer service and love the eclectic vibe of the bookstore. The iced caramel chai is my fave!
