I've only eaten here twice, but I promise I will become a fixture. Just a quaint little place, family owned 41 years, downtown near the water. A welcome respite from all the cookie cutter chain dumps where you're lucky to receive either good service OR good food. Yanas has both, everything you would expect from local folks that care.. The food was great, the atmosphere was clean and retro, and most of the staff were friendly. The only issue was our server (a blonde woman in her 30s–40s), who made repeated overly familiar comments to my boyfriend right in front of me. It was unprofessional, and as someone who works in customer service, I know she knew better.

While in Swansboro today, I decided to check out this local spot, and I'm so glad I did. Breakfast food is my "love language" & the scrambled eggs w/cheese and fresh bacon were fabulously flavored! but the homemade fresh apple fritters were over the top amazing!! Add fabulous service and a cozy, warm, welcoming atmosphere and it's a place I'd recommend to anyone! Definitely will be going back!
