Easily the best food in Sylva and one of the best restaurants I have ever had the pleasure to eat at. I had a delicious curry with duck (Kaeng Kua) for dinner, deep fried shrimp and sausage spring rolls (Kiao Khoong Todd) and ginger lemongrass tea. If you have managed not not visit this place while living in Sylva you should definitely come try the food. Absolutely one of my favorites. The only downside is that it's a small place so it fills up quick.

It’s rare to find a place that nails every aspect of dining so well, but this restaurant truly does. Chef is outstanding! I left not just satisfied, but already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended to anyone who values great food, warm service, and an unforgettable experience!

My favorite Thai restaurant in the area! I’ve tried many but here at Dalaya, the aromas and flavors are authentic and the welcoming vibe is genuine and I love hearing the Thai whispers throughout the kitchen while getting lost in a lovely creekside view

Authentic Thai food. We waited over an hour after ordering. Got there at 5:00 when they opened. Got our dinner at 6:30.

The food is always so delicious, fresh and you can taste the love in every ingredient. The chef is so kind and such a talented individual, my favorites on the lunch menu are the Curry in a Hurry, and the catfish Roti wrap. Also the pork and shrimp dumplings.

Small dining room and rather slow service, but the food is worth the wait. Truly gourmet quality--masterfully prepared Thai food.

Absolutely amazing food!! We got the Krabong, the taro fritter was my absolute favorite of the 3. For our mains we had Sai-Ua and Phak Ruam Yung. The Sai-Ua was so flavorful, bursting with aromatics and a beautiful level of spice! The Phak Ruam Yung was juicy and packed with flavor. The portions left us feeling full but not too full. Prices are very reasonable! HOWEVER, if you want a table get here early and I mean when they open early! We got there 45 minutes after opening and we were last group to be seated immediately and the next group was looking at a 40 minute wait. Please don't come here without the expectation that such a well known and delicious place has a wait even for the take out. We definitely will try to come back to this place before we leave the area!

Abaolutely incredible. The Massaman curry was some of the best I’ve ever had. If there’s a wait, it’s worth it.

I cannot understate how much I appreciated this trip to Dalaya & the way it blew my expectations out of the water. My wife I went on a busy Tuesday (rain expected later that night). The fish sauce wings were incredible, the Khao Soi was unbelievable. The deserts were just perfection. Quite seriously: The best meal I’ve had in the state of North Carolina in the three years I have lived here. I am so happy.

What a nice surprise! I’ve been coming to this area for decades, and my parents live here. They had eaten here pre-Covid, so I was happy to try it today with my dad.
The seasonal starter of three different types of mushroom was fabulously delicious! Hopefully you could try it if you come sooner than later. The main courses were equally delicious and beautifully flavored. We went for a more mild pallet, but you can get it as spicy as you want.
The inside decor is very unique and intimate, accommodating a party of one to a party of eight. We ate inside because it’s rather hot these days, but the outside next to the creek looks beautiful when it’s cooler.
