This place isn’t just good, it’s spectacular. Direct from Chang Mai and as authentic as it could possibly be. This is most definitely worth a detour!

I’m in from out of town and was recommended this place by a lovely cashier at the local bookstore and I am so glad I listened! It is such a cozy, intimate spot with great service.
Dalaya is the best Thai food I’ve had in a long time. I ordered the Gaeng Masam Gai and the iced hibiscus tea and they were delicious. I finished with the homemade dairy free coconut ice cream which was incredible!
Very glad I got to try this spot out, I’ll be back one day!

Outstanding food. Horrific service. We had to listen to a female server complain about patrons the entire night. Waited over 30 minutes to get water and drinks. Food came first. Asked if we could get the check when our baby was beginning to cry. Still took an additional 30 minutes to pay our bill. Along with the lecture we received as our card was being processed. The food is exquisite and we wanted to love this restaurant, but the experience was horrible and we will never return. We love good food and will endure a lot for a tasty meal, but I recommend passing on this one.

DaLaya has a good reputation and eager servers, along with a creekside setting. The very unique food, however, is not to my taste. As my stomach has aged it requires less spicy food and I did not find anything calming here. Curry abounds. All of as the other diners, most of them under 50 YOA, in the tiny seating area seemed quite pleased.

Parking: Between a railroad track and a creek. Inside and outside dining. Parking is adequate for the tiny seating areas.

Kid-friendliness: Not really.

Wheelchair accessibility: No ramp to inside dining, but only one step up.

This is the best meal I have had in so many years. Not only that one of the best Thai meals I have had in America. Being one who has traveled to Thailand a few times, the flavors brought me back immediately I almost teared up. Our family was displaced due to the hurricane and it has been emotionally difficult for us. This meal made us feel good again! So six stars I would give if I could!

Vegetarian options: Tofu, and about four or five veggie entrees.

Parking: There is a limited amount of spaces.

Kid-friendliness: My kids aren't picky so they were fine. Other kids may have trouble as there was no kids meal. I'm sure they could accommodate though

Dalaya Thai Cuisine is a gem with a fantastic menu. I had the Curry Catfish and my wife had flank steak. Both dishes were delicious. Cute restaurant with an amazing views. Don’t hesitate to stop and enjoy some delicious food.

This hands down was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. Both the dishes we had were full of so many delicious flavors. Coconut cream finished off our meal with as perfect sweet treat. The servers and staff were so friendly and did a great job. It is very cozy inside and they have outside seating as well. We will be back for sure.

I have read most of the reviews about this place and I think I can sum it all up in what I'm about to say.....thus place is like going to your mom's house for Sunday dinner. You show up and all the food has been cooked just like it has for decades. It has 7 tables inside. You don't tell mom to alter the dish for you. It's just right. Most of the low ratings revolve around dogs and kids. Nobody gave a bad review about the food unless they re used to McDonaldized Thai places.

This isn't a kid friendly place with a kids menu. They ll be bored here. It's OK. Sometimes it's not all about them when you go out and if they whine about no nuggets then get them some before you come here. This is an adult restaurant. If you have kids be prepared to bring them something they like and just chalk it up to sometimes its just about the adults at a famcy restaurant with different food. Maybe get it to go and eat it at home and get the kids mac and cheese. The few tables outside are close in and maybe I don't want your dog breathing on my hand while I eat.

The food is phenomenal. I've never had food like this. Multiple flavors that hit a few seconds after you bite in. The hanger steak does this. The charred spices with the moist meat. The rice dessert that blends mango ice cream and rice swirling in your mouth doesn't sound good but you try it and then keep ordering it every time.

The sauces or gravy as I call it are unique to this area. I could go on and on but trust me folks.....this place reminds me of going to mom's house or grandma's house for Sunday dinner. If you were in another country. And if this place was in a bigger city they could easily double the prices for the food.

Absolutely loved this place! We went on a Saturday and got there 30 minutes before opening (If you want to be seated immediately I would recommend to do the same). All of the staff were very friendly and explained both the menu and all about the restaurant in a quick and concise manner. We had Kiao Khoong Todd, Khao Soi and Khanom Jiin Naam Yaa Plaa and everything was delicious. Definitely coming back soon.

This is a very unique place that I recommend to anyone visiting this area. The food was delicious and authentic and the restaurant was quant with a great view of the water. Be aware that this place is smaller but gets pretty busy so the wait times are longer. But the food and service were both great.
