This is the best food in the area. Hands down. Amazing authentic Thai, so fresh and flavorful. Massaman curry is the best I’ve ever had. Not only that, but the ambience is PERFECT. I can’t explain it, it’s just a small quaint restaurant but they play nice music at a decent volume and they really know how to set the mood. We used to only eat on the patio area out of habit, sitting river front. Lately we’ve been going inside to sit at a little corner table and wow it’s been a game changer, just because the vibes are so good. Long live Dalaya, best restaurant in town. So so so good and the owner is so thoughtful and such an impressive chef. Can’t recommend enough. Also the fish sauce wings are THE BOMB (if you can take the heat!!)

One of our most memorable and enjoyable culinary experiences in years . Our server Kuba explained the dishes with great detail and knowledge , and provided exceptional navigation through their amazing menu . The cuisine and atmosphere make you feel at home while enjoying a cuisine from 1/2 way around the globe . Don’t forget to try their teas as then compliment the meals perfectly ( loved the lemongrass/ginger cold tea ) . We were already thinking of what we wanted to try next as we walked to our car

Not a large menu selection, but delicious and fresh. Order at the window and eat by the river. A perfect lunch for my drive in the mountains.

This hidden gem was the aftermath of a rough day. Me and my buddies got stranded in Sylva, but thankfully the car got working again. We decided to try this restaurant, having been recommended to by a mechanic, and it was truly worth it. The atmosphere was very homey and welcoming, along with the service! I will say, i just wish the workers had name tags, because i never got to know their name :( our main server was a nice man who later had returned an item i left on my seat as i walked out the door. This shows how dedicated the workers are. They gave us plenty of recommendations, knowing we are new, and i tried to Khao Soi. It was perfectly balanced in all the flavors, and a good portion that was worth the $20 in my opinion. I would definitely come here again!

Delaya’s was recommended to us by a mechanic out in Waynesville who helped my buddy get his truck started.

This is the best asian place I have ever been to in Western NC. This hidden gem had the best Thai food, the best service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Everyone was super duper nice and the food took a minute, but it was 100% worth the wait.

I would recommend this place as a more special occasion dining place, as it is on the more expensive side!!

Overall, a must-try in Sylva!!

The menu and venue are small. There are multiple vegan options, but the menu isn’t labeled so you will have to ask. The food is very good and worth stopping for if in town, but I wouldn’t go to Sylva just for this. The chef is a 2024 James Beard semifinalist, and the menu is not typical Thai restaurant food.

Easily the best food in Sylva and one of the best restaurants I have ever had the pleasure to eat at. I had a delicious curry with duck (Kaeng Kua) for dinner, deep fried shrimp and sausage spring rolls (Kiao Khoong Todd) and ginger lemongrass tea. If you have managed not not visit this place while living in Sylva you should definitely come try the food. Absolutely one of my favorites. The only downside is that it's a small place so it fills up quick.

It’s rare to find a place that nails every aspect of dining so well, but this restaurant truly does. Chef is outstanding! I left not just satisfied, but already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended to anyone who values great food, warm service, and an unforgettable experience!
