The best place for Mexican in Sylva. I've always love the food and small shop feel. Not a huge menu but definitely delicious. Recommend any taco all the way or just traditional. Open salsa bar and your choice of drinks. Definitely a try. I don't eat Mexican anywhere else in Sylva. Definitely not El Patron.

We stopped at El Mercadito last week, I ordered ToGo. The Tacos were amazing! If you want great Mexican food here where you can find it! Service was excellent and the food was prepared fast. Gracias por la rica comida estaba de lujo 🧡

The carnitas was excellent and the chicken and carne asada were good too. The side of guac is very generous. I ordered 1 burrito and 5 tacos for our group - combined with the self serve chips this was plenty of delicious food.
