Il miglior pasto che abbia mai avuto. I lived in Italy for 4 years and I must say this meal is better than I've ever had. Even the bread brought me back with smell of Real Dark Green olive oil & toasted like it was freshly baked in the caves of Bagnoregio. Service was exceptional & even though I was by myself I didn't feel alone.

This was such a cute little spot for dinner. We also worked with the head chef to cater our wedding through our package from Castle Ladyhawke and the food was just as exceptional. The arancini and prime rib steak was awesome. From the restaurant, would highly recommend the meatball starter and cresta di gallo!

Ilda is funky little Italian joint with limited menu. The service is great, seating is limited, so make a reservation. The meatball appetizer is fantastic. Gluten free options.

One of the best meals I've had. Try the lamb, rabbit and meatballs entrée, garlic bread starter.
The Vinica merlot is the best for the $

Wow, what a wonderful experience! Creative and very well executed menu. Loved Karen's meatballs, plus each of the four different entrees our table tried were delish! And the service was excellent...friendly and attentive. We will definitely return.

We popped over to Sylva from Lake Glenville on a recommendation from a head chef at another restaurant we love in Highlands. We were not disappointed! Really great atmosphere and the food was out of this world good. We started with the caccio e peppe palmeritas and it was outstanding and really unique. The watermelon salad was out of this world light and flavorful and perfect following the heavy c&p. For mains we had the mafaidini, which was wonderful and the pork chop which was perfectly cooked and despite being a heavy dish was light, delicious and not greasy in the least.
I think this is the best Italian restaurant in Western NC.

Incredible service. Ilda staff are professional and personal. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. The Limoncello is homemade and rotates, which allows their creativity to show. It's always delicious! Don't skip out on dessert, especially the ice cream. Come for the food, stay for the impeccable service.

Got there at 5;30 pm. Our reservation time
Set us right by the entrance. Asked for different table, said it would be an hour. Even though 12 tables open. Oh well. Food is very good. We are a party of 2. We ordered meatball appetizer. 3 large meatballs with plenty of cheese and polenta. Split between two. If you order salad, split ceaser between 2. We had 3 house cocktails and 2 glasses of wine. All of the main dishes are very good. Pork dish is Hugh. Shrimp should be served with spaghetti instead of penne. We took home 2 desserts. Both excellent. Spent about $360 for 2 people with 21% tip. I recommend. Service very good. My wife did 32 yrs as waitress in elite restaurants. I cooked for 6 years in elite restaurants. We know food and service.
Definitely try Ilda. Best restaurant in Sylva and surrounding area for casual to upscale dining food and flair. We went for my birthday dinner and left mostly satisfied. Seasonal menu. Pea salad good, Ceasar good but way too salty. Eggplant was too much over fried breading but ok, wouldn't order it again. Husband really liked the old bay shrimp pasta. Meatballs were a hit! Goat cheese and peach dessert was excellent. Cocktails slow to come out (served appetizer before they arrived, then 20 minutes after ordering for next one, maybe off night). Service was heartfelt. Disappointed we had to sit by the door, asked to be seated elsewhere when we arrived, (we had reservations, and only one other inside table was occupied), but were told no :/ Overall a good choice for restaurants in the area.
