Some places have something just right about them. This place is one of them. Outstanding food, kind people, warm lighting, excellent music. Thanks for an excellent holiday meal with family!

After a recommendation & good google review we were disappointed. Service was not great the waitress came back to our table after our appetizer and asked what do you want next? Odd question when all we ordered was appetizer, salad & 2 entrees. Salad was extremely salty almost like they put salt all over it instead of pepper. I ordered duck - the fat was not rendered and/or crispy at all all meat just very mushy - I did not get the meat. My husband’s meal was good. They did not charge us for the appitizer as she recommended it & we did not like it- which was nice of her - no bread at all offered or with our orders
Menu looks iniviative & excellent but food did not live up to what we were expecting. Nice atmosphere - would not go back :(

Visiting from DC and ILDA is as good or better than any Italian fine dining spot in DC. The grey eagle cocktail is sublime. We had the pachieri and bolognese and were blown away by the pasta texture and flavorful, but not heavy sauces. Our server was warm and went above and beyond for us. If you’re visiting the area, you have to go to ILDA.

This was an unexpected delight. We were coming in to Sylva to spend thanksgiving with family and after a 6 hour drive we were just looking for someplace to grab a bite. As we drove by this small corner restaurant the flames from the heaters in the outdoor seating and the signage caught our eye and we circled back to check it out. It looked a little out of place for Sylva and maybe a little higher end then we we were looking for, but we went in anyway. A smallish dining rom dominated by a bar with a good assortment on the back bar made me think of signature cocktail bars I have been in. We were seated immediately and the menu did highlight a good assortment of cocktails, and watching the bartender at work confirmed their focus on cocktails. We did not imbibe but I know my cocktail connoisseur friends would have been at home. We ordered an appetizer of Crawfish Sausage and got our first hint of what we were in store for as we watched the open kitchen and the expediter plating the dishes as they came out. The appetizer arrived quickly and perfectly plated, it was unique and delicious. We ordered the Pork Osso Buco, and the Fettuccini based solely on what we saw coming out of the kitchen and it arrived perfectly presented and as good as it looked it tasted even better, the Osso Buco was fall of the bone tender and perfect. The Crab Fettuccini was a cut above. We finished off with a Tiramisu to share and it also was perfectly presented and every bit as good as it looked. In the end yes it was higher end but it is on a par with any 5 star restaurants we have been to in New York, Chicago or elsewhere. Although when we say higher end everything is relative and I would have expected to pay 3 times what I paid for this excellent meal in any of those 5 star restaurants. They have definitely made the most of the space that was a former gas station, although no trace of this former life is evident except the picture on the wall.

Great food, great service and a warm atmosphere. This is not a spaghetti and meatballs restaurant. A limited menu with unusual entrees that are delicious. I highly recommend the eggplant parmigiana. Then tiramisu is a must for dessert. Extensive bar selection. Very busy, so make a reservation if possible.

Super cute place downtown Sylva. Drinks and service were excellent. I deducted a star because we got 3 dishes and every single one of them were SO salty (and we love salt). We had to drink so much water because of how salty they all were. It wouldnt deter me from going back but just to note.

Very nice, unique spin on an Italian base…we enjoyed the crawfish and pork sausage as an appetizer, the grilled Caesar salad and the lamb bolognese paired with a nice Italian wine.

Amazing. Adjoining wine bar is such a classy touch for if you have to wait for a table (we waited less than 5 minutes for our reservation). The space is so cozy and the atmosphere is perfect. Our drinks were sublime and the food was well thought out and perfectly executed. 10/10

Food was great, so I’m not bashing that at all. I highly recommend everything on the menu. Expertly crafted cocktails, and a well designed wine list; easily the best restaurant in Sylva. My wife and I have been to this restaurant many times so I’d be disappointed in myself if I didn’t give constructive criticism where it’s due.
Jared, my server, took 15 minutes from when my reservation started just to introduce himself. I almost walked out. If that wasn’t enough, he took another 10 minutes to get a drink order. Fortunately I ordered and paid for the meal all at once otherwise I fear I’d of had to send a search party out to find my server to close the check.

The hospitality business isn’t for everyone; if you don’t have the heart to serve you won’t have the humility to own up to poor service. Unfortunately, our server Jared didn’t even apologize after being asked if that was the standard of service we’d receive for the rest of our evening.

Kind of a disappointment for the first night of our Honeymoon. Hoping to come back and see some improvements in service.

They were so kind to provide a meal to anyone on Tuesday after the hurricane. I was able to take a meal to my elderly neighbor and feed my people!! Blessings to you all!!
