This is a nice diner in a small country town. The server was great very sweet and attentive. Grits was ok kale was nasty the biscuits was good. The jams was good I didn't like the bacon jam too sweet and salty. The salmon Benedict was amazing!!! They got great prices and food.

Great food and service. Inside and outside seating. The food was delicious. They serve breakfast at lunch time too when we were there. I got an omelette and the husband got a breakfast burrito. The waitress was very kind. Free parking along street. It is located on a one way street.Located with other business close to walk to.Parking: Free street parking. When it fills up it can be a little tricky to find parking. Located on a one way street

My chopped steak with potatoes and my friend’s breakfast burrito were extremely salty. However, my eggs and biscuit were delicious. Was not a fan of the gravy but that is just my personal preference. The service was quick and friendly. We will go back because I want to try the waffles.

Lucy in the Rye is the ultimate breakfast/brunch place in Sylva. We try to order different dishes each time, and have never had a bad option. My favorite is the huevos rancheros, and we usually insist that one family member gets the chicken and waffles. Awesome food!!

Definitely enjoyed the breaksfast. I got the Candied Walnut Waffle along with the 2 egg breakfast with bacon and cheese grits. All the food was on point. You won't be disappointed!

We stopped by for brunch and the food was awesome - all four of us were thrilled with what we got. I ordered something (Ringo waffles-so good!) that turned out to have a mayo based sauce that I couldn’t eat and the waitress kindly and quickly changed out my dish for another without the sauce. Our kids loved their caramel macchiatos, omelets and crispy potatoes. We will definitely come back! The outside seating was perfect on a spring day too. It was packed inside so clearly this is a popular place. Everyone we interacted with was fantastic from a customer service standpoint. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area!Dietary restrictions: The server was great answering questions about gluten free options.

My recent visit to "Lucy in the Rye" for breakfast was thoroughly disappointing. Not only was the service incredibly slow, with long waits for drink refills, but they also forgot to include the bacon in my meal. As if that wasn't enough, I was dismayed to find an eggshell in my food, which is simply unacceptable in terms of hygiene standards. Given these multiple mishaps, I have no intention of dining at this establishment in the near future.
