This fall I hosted a silent art auction fundraiser for a nonprofit at Sylva Social. As a nonprofit, we are always looking for unique ways to fundraise and Sylva Social is such a special spot, I knew it would be perfect for an art auction. I met with Jessica and Hunter and they were accomodating from the start and really invested their time into my creative vision. The evening of the event, Hunter and Jessica showed up ready to tackle tasks and lend a hand where needed. I felt supported the entire evening but not in a overcrowded way. Sylva Social is located in downtown Sylva and all the downtown fun is easily accessible from this location. The art event just so happened to have coincided with another event so the streets were full of people and the town was alive. Sylva Social is modern, yet warm (wood floors, large windows) venue and the kind, thoughtful and creative staff make it the best choice for your next event. Its a win!

We recently had our 2025 Annual Volunteer Appreciation event at Sylva Social. The venue is absolutely beautiful! We were blessed to have Skylar as our event coordinator and he was responsive and attentive to every detail! Matt King is the absolute best and the coffee was a huge hit! We had our Welcome Dinner here the night before our wedding, since all of us were from out of town.
Perfect location, right next to a coffee shop. While we were decorating, we were able to get some coffee. Then we took a stroll through town once decorating was done.
Venue is very cozy, and everyone at Tembo hospitality is great to work with. Highly recommend utilizing this venue for your events!

Sylva Social was the perfect place to host my sister's Welcome Dinner before her wedding the next day. It was conveniently located downtown, and the ambiance was unmatched. It's connected to Blue Ridge Bootleg which I think we all got coffee from during the event too. Highly recommend booking Sylva Social for your event!

Despite the fake reviews by people who decided to attempt to shut down a business simply for the owners political views when everyone can feel how they want. This is an amazing place to hangout and grab tea with a friend, best in the area.

We had a horrible time here. My friend slipped on some tea on the floor and the owner was very rude to us. We will not be coming back, very disappointed. I'm not from the opposing kava bar, I don't know why you keep referring to that when a customer leaves a bad review. Visit at your own risk.

Excellent service, delicious tea!!!! Provided guidance for the tea to meet the mood. Love the creaky floor and porch areas. Exceptional knowledge on all things tea. Looking forward to our next time in Western NC as we will have another cuppa at Sip' Sum. If you love tea this is a must place to visit.
