Absolutely loved it here. Food was great music was fantastic and the service was good. Would recommend to all. Parking is hit and miss so you might have to walk but worth the walk

Martha’s Place is hands-down one of the best spots in Sylva! We had an awesome time thanks in large part to Heather, the bartender — she’s incredibly talented and can make just about anything taste amazing. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic cocktail or something creative, she’s got you covered. The restaurant stays open late, which is perfect for night owls or anyone looking to wind down after a long day. And the drinks? Easily the best quality and price in town. Great atmosphere, great people, and unbeatable drinks — can’t wait to come back!

Good wraps, very good salmon, good beer selection, respectable espresso martini. Competent, friendly service. Outdoor seating is pleasant on a nice day.

Martha’s Place has been a go-to spot for me every weekend since they have opened. I have also held many events here to commemorate birthdays and graduation celebrations! Martha, the owner herself, will go above and beyond to make you feel like family. The care and hard work that goes into her business is reflective of her many years of experience in the industry. She is a Sylva local, born and raised, but has worked in many diverse establishments throughout her life. She puts her entire heart into satisfying her guests, because she knows what’s important as an employer, employee, and a patron. She has truly done it all, and maintains high expectations for her business. The staff is consistently friendly and accommodating, day and night. They also have free pool tables, and incredible options for outdoor seating. Most weekends they host live music, and there is karaoke on Thursday evenings. The food always hits the spot- whether you’re looking for something quick and low budget, or treating yourself to a steak dinner.

The service was very friendly. We stopped in for lunch based on the reviews. We ordered the chicken finger appetizer and a burger medium well with french fries. The chicken fingers were terrible. They were most-likely frozen with heavy breading. They smelled like the oil they were cooked in. The burger was well done and very dry. We were served potato chips instead of fries.

We only had a late afternoon cocktail on the porch...perfectly prepared! Romantic setting. Just perfect. We will return.

We decided to have our wedding reception at Martha’s Place. Little did we know our wedding weekend would be during hurricane Helene. Martha and her staff still made our night the best we have ever had. During the entire wedding planning process she was attentive and had attention to details. I couldn’t be happier with our wedding day, despite the challenges of the weather and a lot of that is because of our amazing venue. The food was great and the atmosphere was all we dreamed of.

On top of all of this, Martha and her staff have a great attitude. We have been to Martha’s on several occasions just for a casual drink and everything is always amazing.

Had our unreserved post wedding dinner and drinks here and it was PERFECT!!! There's an area around the bar if you wanna socialize or just chill but the side rooms are the true gems!😉 All beautifully furnished and comfortable. Food was amazing!!! Staff was even better so that's a 7 star review right there!!! This will be our date night spot from now on. Oh and they have a pool table that's free to play so that was an added bonus as well. Family friendly too!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Wheelchair accessibility: There are a ton of stairs so I would ask management if there was a safe way to get you in without stairs at all 🤔 maybe closer parking there may have been a ramp up top...hmmm... Now I'll have to check and I have more pics to add!! I'm never comfy eating in front of people and rarely sit at a dining table at home but it was so comfortable I felt very much at home.

Small place, with good atmosphere. Small bar, small menu, perfect for a little get together or an evening drink to celebrate life with.
I always judge a places food by their hotwings. The wings were delicious. Juicy and crunchy all in the right places.

Dietary restrictions: The menu had a decent pick of items. If you have dietary issues like me, you can find something on the menu that you can have.

We had our small wedding reception at the events pavilion at Martha’s and it was awesome! A nice space for 40-50 people. Martha was very helpful in the planning. Her and her staff handled much of the decorating as well as food/drink. The night went very smoothly; it was beautiful and exactly what we needed!
