The food was great, the Lady preparing the food was very nice and sweet since. I love sitting out in the Sun, so with that being my first visit it couldn't have gotten any better.

We are just so lucky enough that this little place is perfectly halfway between Raleigh and my parents. We decided to stop here for a quick lunch and though the heat was awful the food was amazing!We have definitely found our go-to meet up place.We tried the curry goat, j*** chicken, brown stew, Mac n cheese and cabbage. Favorite was easily brown stew, but everything was delicious. I do not think you can go wrong with anything on patrenas menu.Other notes: outdoor seating, so dogs are fine, but be careful of the heat!Also may want to pick up water from the nearby gas station, as they only have juices.

Food was BOMB! I had the ox tail plate. Everything was wonderful. Only downfall was, they were out of plantains. Other than that, everything was great. Very nice ppl. I found them on Google. Was currently getting my trailer loaded at a nearby company. Left & decided to grab a bite. Im glad that I did. Establishment had enough space for me to pull my truck in with no issues, so I'm grateful 4 that. That Jamaican hot sauce is no joke! Luckily I ? spicy stuff, so it was all good.i will definitely be back, whenever I have a load in the area. I was so hungry, I 4got to take a pic! ????

My only complaint is I wish I had ordered multiple plates. The food and service were amazing, and it reminded me of my father and his love for his country. One love ???
Whole family loved it. My 10 year old told me it it was the best chicken and rice he ever had. Husband got oxtail and plate was fantastic. Can’t wait to come back when we drive through town.

The food was delicious and prepared fresh and hot. I had curry shrimp with rice and peas, macaroni and cheese, and cabbage. My beverage was a ginger beer soda. The shrimp were large, everything was well prepared and seasoned. My aunt had oxtails and said they were delicious as well. This was a rare find. The building is small but within it's walls there is big flavor and great personality! The gentleman that cooked our food was very gracious and we enjoyed talking to him.I will be going back many times over. I wish them much success and that their business will continue to grow and flourish. My only suggestion is to add umbrellas to the picnic tables for outside dining or waiting for food to protect from the suns rays.
