Had a graduation party for my daughter, ordered a pan of Mac & cheese and it was the bomb!!! it was gone within 10 minutes wished I had ordered 2 pans instead of one. Next I will try there potato salad. Good job Log Cabin Restaurant!!!!
Great food. Friendly service. Unique. Great place for takeout orders. A hidden, but not so hidden, gem.
Steak was way thinner than usual and the cashier seemed really confused when I asked to put our meals on separate tickets.

The Log Cabin Restaurant is a small cabin, a little gem found near Tar Heel. The food is overall good and delicious, with many highlights. The fried chicken is AMAZING and really good, available as a special. Other noted dishes include a perfectly cooked hamburger steak with gravy and onions, a good ribeye sandwich, Log Cabin Fries, and homemade desserts like Red Velvet Cake and toffee butter cake. Sides like mac and cheese, green beans, a soft baked potato, and soft fresh rolls are also enjoyed. The lemonade and sweet tea are called the best.
While mostly positive, there are a few minor negatives: fries were not done on one plate, slaw was too wet on two plates, and fried fish was oily. The small place is often full, a good sign, and sometimes requires a wait. Service is friendly and the staff treats everyone like family. The food is always hot and ready on time, even for to-go orders. It is considered kid-friendly and is a great stop for travelers, highly recommended for a visit.
