I am so thankful for the hospitality and kindness with my wheelchair bound friend. She had the best time tonight watching Sister Hazel’s leads Ken and Drew. The staff went above and beyond for us to accommodate to get her there in her wheelchair. Thank you!!! You rock!
I brought some friends here to try their wines. Jones Von Drehle is a Beautiful Vineyard! Nice views! The vineyard is very peaceful and relaxing! The staff are nice! My friends enjoyed the wines. For me, I wasn't a fan of their wines which is ok. I had a great day hanging out with friends at a beautiful vineyard.
The wines are all dry, but that's the way we like it! Beautiful venue, all really good drinkable wines on any given day. We will be back. Oh, and they have an awesome concert stage with great bands playing on weekends.
Horrible wine and very un child friendly do not recommend as a gathering with friends
Fantastic tasting experience! We booked a private/custom winery experience with the Elkin Vine Line and our first stop was JVD. The grounds are beautiful and the tasting experience was top notch! Learned about each wine/grape, harvesting each, and flavors of each. Perfect start to our day! And we will for sure be back.
Very good wine and wonderful couple who own to winery! Beautiful experience!
Great place to visit. Good Tempranillo.
Beautiful facilities and view. There is a lot of space. There are some specific rules regarding children. If you’re planning to bring kids, call ahead and ask so you know what to expect. The wine was very good and I thought the prices were fair considering quality, location and atmosphere.
My wife and I visited on a perfect early Fall Sunday. Mrs. Jones did our tasting and was full of information about the property, French vines and wine. We shared a tasting and then enjoyed a nice Cab Franc on the patio. We are grateful this place is within driving distance. The property is beautiful and the ownership cares about the quality of wine they produce.
Nice views but expensive.
When NC wineries are charging close to Napa/Sonoma tasting prices for wines that will never be as good as west coast brethren, something is out of whack.
$25 for six very small (+/-1 ounce) pours, and small (+/-4 ounce) pours by the glass, with pressure to buy bottles.
You do not get to keep the glass with tastings either.
The wines are decent, but they are not inline with the pricing.
That being said, the staff was VERY knowledgeable about what they were pouring, unlike more than a few NC wineries.

Fantastic winery and venue. Lindsey, who served our flights, was very knowledgeable, welcoming, and fun to converse with!
Exceptional, award-winning wines in a beautiful setting. Staff are very knowledgeable and the owners are passionate and wonderful. The wines are crafted well with great flavors. No sweet muscadine wines... These are wines to rival Napa Valley
The blanc de blanc is a champagne style wine tasting better than veuve clicquot. Tastings are fun and the property is beautiful. Go and enjoy!
Used to love this winery. Last few times it has been very disappointing. Bands are great but experience was awful. Hot dogs were served with extremely expensive small pours of wine. I feel that they are trying to make money off the wine to pay for the investment of the music venue. Don’t understand the mindset and stubbornness of owners. This winery could be amazing!
Delicious French-style wines in a lovely environment. Nice tasting room, knowledgeable tasting host, beautiful property & patio. I took off a star (from an otherwise 5-star review) because of the blaring country music. I would have stayed longer for another glass of wine if it hadn’t been for the music.
