Nice views but expensive.
When NC wineries are charging close to Napa/Sonoma tasting prices for wines that will never be as good as west coast brethren, something is out of whack.
$25 for six very small (+/-1 ounce) pours, and small (+/-4 ounce) pours by the glass, with pressure to buy bottles.
You do not get to keep the glass with tastings either.
The wines are decent, but they are not inline with the pricing.
That being said, the staff was VERY knowledgeable about what they were pouring, unlike more than a few NC wineries.

Fantastic winery and venue. Lindsey, who served our flights, was very knowledgeable, welcoming, and fun to converse with!
Exceptional, award-winning wines in a beautiful setting. Staff are very knowledgeable and the owners are passionate and wonderful. The wines are crafted well with great flavors. No sweet muscadine wines... These are wines to rival Napa Valley
The blanc de blanc is a champagne style wine tasting better than veuve clicquot. Tastings are fun and the property is beautiful. Go and enjoy!
Used to love this winery. Last few times it has been very disappointing. Bands are great but experience was awful. Hot dogs were served with extremely expensive small pours of wine. I feel that they are trying to make money off the wine to pay for the investment of the music venue. Don’t understand the mindset and stubbornness of owners. This winery could be amazing!
Delicious French-style wines in a lovely environment. Nice tasting room, knowledgeable tasting host, beautiful property & patio. I took off a star (from an otherwise 5-star review) because of the blaring country music. I would have stayed longer for another glass of wine if it hadn’t been for the music.
Owner Diana is charming, personable and knowledgeable...loved talking to her. All of the staff are wonderful especially Morgan. We liked the wines so much we joined their wine club.
We had a wonderful afternoon at Jones von Drehle. It was our 8th winery visited in Yadkin Valley and by far the best. Their tasting included a mix of whites and reds, of which we did not taste a bad wine.We wish we lived closer than 3 hours away to enjoy their summer concert series, but did join their wine club as they offer free shipping on full cases. We'll be back! Thanks much, Skip and Laura
This is our favorite winery here in NC. I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful winery. Chuck and Diana are always welcoming and we’ve enjoyed being wine club members the last few years. They are making fantastic wines- from their Viognier, to their Malbec and to my personal favorite, the Grenache Rosè! It’s a beautiful vineyard near Stone Mountain with delightful staff. We love JVD!
I came up here with a group this past week and was blown away by their quality of wines. They do such an amazing Petit Verdot! The owner took his time to talk to us and show his production room. I thought the amphitheater was very neat, and will definitely come back when the weather gets warmer for a concert! Thank you Jones von Drehle!

Staff is amazing and the wine selection is very good. I recommend the steel and stone for a dry red with a bit of sweetness. A must stop after hiking stone mountain!
Wonderful experience and unbelievable wine. We love dryer wines and these were excellent. Unbelievable service and views.
Greedy! Very beautiful winery, drove over one hour for show, paid $200 for a table for 4. Would not sale bottles, only very small pours for $11. They claim 5 oz. Brought 2 friends that only like sweet wine or beer. Only had one I.P.A. available. After buying my wife 2 pours for 11 each and paying 10 for a beer I didn't even care for, I asked employee how much for a "real" pour, at least 2/3 full. Response " we can pour a double" . I said $22? Ridiculous. Even " I poured you a little extra" would have been a small gesture. So, we 4 dropped $260 for 55 minutes (after driving one hour) and left. Not selling bottles and then $11 a glass for a little more than a sample; you got us once but NEVER again. We visit wineries 4-6 times a year, belong to 3 wine clubs and will definitely cross this one off our list. No wonder so many empty chairs
We visited Jones von Drehle last year and enjoyed their wine so much we joined the wine club. Yesterday, owner Diana Jones hand delivered our wine shipment to our home in Atlanta, GA, just to make sure it wouldn't be damaged by the ridiculous heat wave we are having. Such amazing service, and delicious wine as well! We look forward to our next in-person visit. Thank you Diana!!
