“Thanks to Jeremy at Wisdom Table, McRichie Winery was recommended to us and did not disappoint. Their selection of white and red wines was excellent. We especially enjoyed a red wine vertical tasting of their Ring of Fire. Thanks Patricia and Sean for a wonderful afternoon.Skip (M22!) and Laura”
“One of our favorite places for a nice quiet dinner out. Gotta ask for the heat though (all the way), and they’ll happily comply. Never had a bad meal or experience.”
“The Fettuccine Alfredo is absolutely amazing and has the best flavor and consistency, And the wait staff were constantly topping off drinks and are always polite.”
“Stumbled across this place by accident. We were greeted at the door and sat right away. The service was excellent and the food was perfect and delicious. Most tender Carnitas I have ever had.”
“We stopped in while doing the passport wineries tour. So glad we stopped in. We had a wonderful time. After the wine tasting we did one of the short trails to the dam. Anytime we can have some wine and then do a hike/walk is a great combo for us.”
“Highly recommend this place. Service was great, the owner was very friendly, the food was excellent! The pork belly and their shrimp for appetizers were delicious. This is our new favorite dinner spot in Elkin!”
“Hefty portions are the norm. I had the Southern Eggs Benedict (excellent!), my co-traveler had scrambled eggs and livermush ( similar to scrapple without cornmeal!!)Everything was perfectly cooked and arrived hot!Definitely worth the stop!Wheelchair accessibility: Building is a former Shoney’s several handicap ♿️ parking spaces and a built in ramp to the door. Easy access.”
“We FINALLY got to go tonight for the first time and it was SO good! The burgers were cooked perfectly. Fries are different and really good (which Elkin needed). We also ordered the dessert nachos. They were delicious! 10 out of 10!!!!!”
“Came in for the night from Charlotte to see The Reeves theater. Did not disappoint !! The music, the sound were unbelievable. Great cafe and bar. This is worth the 1.15 min drive from Charlotte to sit in this old theater and listen to the bands.”
“The craft cocktails are top notch. The service is even better. The clientele is eclectic. The owner/operator will always make you feel like family. This is the best place in Elkin.”
“Really great place to go in Elkin to relax, with drinks, live music, and usually a food truck or two. Live music is almost always good. The design of the bathrooms are really cool, and so is the design of the rest of the place.”
“Sat out on the patio with our dog and enjoyed a peaceful lunch. The owner (I'm assuming) came out to advise us when our sandwiches were coming and offered our dog some water. Sandwiches were tasty. I had a chicken salad which was nicely packed with chicken and not a whole lot of fillers like celery, etc. overall pleasant experience and we would eat here again.”
“Traveling through NC we opted to stop here for food, coffee, and wi-fi. It is THE cutest place to hang out. The Bourbon Caramel Toffee Crunch coffee, Pear & Goat Dalad, and Charcuterie sandwiches were over the top delicious!!”
“What an unexpected gem in a quaint little town. These folks are not messing around and put out some quality food and wine. The space is an old 1930s Belk department store that they renovated which is neat and the jazz music really added to the vibe. Lovely and delicious!”
“Great spot to relax and enjoy the river. We sat outside on the deck, definitely where you want to be when the weather is nice. Great service. Dog friendly. The dog had a bowl of water and a kids burger. The humans had wine flights. The menu is small but lovely and complements the wine well. We had the pesto and turkey apple and Brie panini.”
“We stopped in for what we thought would be a quick cocktail, but we ended up staying for a few hours. Not only were the cocktails tasty and extremely well executed, they were visually appealing as well. We ordered the bacon and Brie flatbread which was so much better than we expected. The balsamic reduction drizzle was the star! Our server was the best. She was super friendly, very attentive and she just all around brought good vibes. Unfortunately I can’t remember her name, but she had fun green hair. I would say the Banana Puddin cocktail was my favorite, so delicious!! All thanks to our server for a great experience.”
“Cute little store, nice for a visit after hiking stone mnt. I didn't try the ice cream or food. I found some of their selections sparse, perhaps it's better in the spring/summer.”
“My Mama passed away from Covid three years ago in November. She always baked me a pineapple cake for my birthday, and also just because I was craving it many times. I haven't been able to find anything close to the way hers tasted. Today is my birthday and my husband ordered me a pineapple cake from Bon Bon's. He said he ordered it late, but after hearing why he wanted it so badly they made sure I had a pineapple cake for my birthday today. I cried because it tasted just like my Mama's, and it absolutely made my day. Everyone was bragging on how wonderful it tasted, but no one could have enjoyed it anymore than I did because I felt like Mama was hugging me from Heaven. Thank you so much. I highly recommend Bon Bon's. They are wonderful!”
“Definitely not pizza I am used to, being from places that are known for pizza aka ny,ctPizza is paper thin hardly any sauce or cheese, but love their salad bar thoughWheelchair accessibility: Front door really tight even for walking people”
“Nice place. Outdoor bathrooms like an old gas station but clean and nice. Food great. Prices good. No real ambiance.Dietary restrictions: Salad options exist for low carb eating.Parking: Plenty of parking there and nearby.”

“Our family loved everything about this restaurant. The food was amazing and we loved the atmosphere in this quaint downtown area. You should most definitely stop and eat here if you are passing through. This is a hidden gem.The flavors of the fried green tomatoes are fantastic as well as the glaze on the salmon (we wanted more!).”
“Great local mom and pop. Just down to earth country friendly folks. Prices were great and portion sizes were great. Highly recommend.Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu”
“Been here twice so far. By far on of the best Chick-fil-a I have ever had a chance to enjoy. Service was outstanding on two separate visits. Food by far the best. Both visits hot and fresh food. Atmosphere is purely heaven sent. Love the godly music. Love reading scripture on the walls and the plaques of wisdom. Do recommend. Will be back.0”
“Excellent food and great little hole in the wall. Family oriented and friendly staff. Small town favorite for many years and continues to grow. Best homemade biscuits and homemade gravy around”

“Traveling from NY to FL. As soon as we hit NC we googled; BBQ! We found the best place, hands down. The ribs were amazing! Hush Puppies were spot on. You must eat here!”
“Delicious French-style wines in a lovely environment. Nice tasting room, knowledgeable tasting host, beautiful property & patio. I took off a star (from an otherwise 5-star review) because of the blaring country music. I would have stayed longer for another glass of wine if it hadn’t been for the music.”
