The food is impeccable, the flavors are on point and their house made sauces make me cry that I can't have them at home. I drove 5 hours so that my husband could try Apple City for the first time, he was entranced. We will make the drive up from Georgia again.

Well what a nice surprise. We stopped in for lunch and the service was fast, the place was packed, and the food was utterly delicious. I highly recommend the ribs and green beans. My husband had the brisket end potato salad. Every bite was delicious!
When mom and i walked in for the first time visit, I sat down and mom stood in line for just a few minutes. A patron told her that the wait staff would come to our table. When the staff finished ringing up the to go orders she brought the menus from a table in the middle of the floor as you enter their restaurant. We overlooked them when we walked in. I didn't see any signage stating to seat yourself or take a menu. (I'm not saying it's not posted or visible but I didn't see anything). We are not local to the area either. We passed Apple City enroute from Charlotte to get snag and fresh local apples.
We placed our orders, they were brought to the table in a very timely manner. We both ordered the chopped pork lunch plate. 10.99. I Ordered a side of mac n cheese with my lunch and 2 brisket n Pimento Cheese egg rolls for the road. Our total was $42. 10.99 for 2 lunch plates BBQ & Slaw. $7.99 for the 2 egg rolls, one extra side and 3.50 each for 2 sweet teas. ( the drink price was a little surprising, not gonna lie. Not 'complaining' just passing along info)
The pork is on point! Maybe I am a Lil bougie, I didn't get any bark with my serving. Smoke flavor was great! It was very moist as well ! Their slaw is very fresh, cabbage is minced, and it does have a sweet side to it. (Just a FYI). The entire experience was a 9.5 out of 10 only because nothing is perfect. But if you want some of the best barbecue around i suggest you stop in and support what they are doing. The next time I go to Taylorsville to get apples, I'm stopping in. ✌️😎

Food was AMAZING definitely worth the hour and a half drive! Of course if you want to ensure that you get everything you want you need to go early as they do run out of items. Our server and the kitchen staff had some miscommunication but overall our server was great and experience was terrific husband and I got the table breaker which is 100 dollars but it really is a very cheap decision as you get plenty of left overs!
