Me and my wife had went here for dinner tonight.. service was absolutely awful lady didn’t even seem like she wanted to wait on us .. took 30 min to get our food .. we had to be back to work by 7pm! She didn’t even listen to what I had ordered so instead of complaining I just went on to eat my dinner . I understand they are understaffed but this is absolutely ridiculous. They need more wait staff as well as cooks ! Do better coffee house

The diner is nalstalgic, and has that 1960s draw. The food is very good and the waitress is friendly and accommodating.. .. my only issue is like alot of Southern eating establishments, she didn't know what I was asking for when I ordered a cup of hot tea, and the waitress said " we aren't that "Boujey" LOL! I felt like that odd "Yankee" passing through enemy lines, a bit archaic for 2024. A cup of very hot water on a saucer with a Lipton tea bag, a creamer and a wedge of lemon. . . .

We stopped in on a rainey day cause Tropical Storm Debby was bringing rain to the region. Food was good, service was good, and we enjoyed just hanging out for awhile.

If they spend another dollar on this restaurant it needs to be an updating the entire inside. Everything is old sticky and dirty. But the service is always good the food is always good. It just seems like it's always dirty in there. They have got to do something about their grits. They suck

I went to the Coffee House in Taylorsville, NC this morning, July 5th, 7:20 am, to have breakfast. I haven't eaten here in probably two years or more. This is my review:
WOW. First, when I got there, the place was mostly full with one table open and a few bar seats. I set down at the bar and watched as there was only one waitress, two cooks, and a lady washing dishes. Even though the waitress was very busy taking care of at least 20 other customers, I had only been there about a minute before she came and took my drink order. She left to do something else and was back within 2 minutes to take my order. This lady hustled with juggling food orders, drink refills, and she also ran the cash register. The two cooks were very busy as well and the food was great. I never seen the lady washing the dishes take a break either. The waitress also made sure to take people their food when it was hot even if it meant leaving people standing in line at the register to pay. I wish I would have got the waitress' name so I could give her a shout out. I did take her picture though. I will be back.

We are regulars here. 2-3 times a week. The food is always fixed correctly. We always have great service. I'd give a 5 star. However I am not because they do not let kids meals be ordered anymore to go. I am actually buying for kids when I order. I am not paying $10-12 for a 4 year old. It's no different than me going inside to eat an ordering it. I spend th same amount of $. I give a tip for take out just as if I was eating in. Coffee house you have lost a good customer. Considering how many days you all have been closed due to no help or how many times the parking lot has literally been empty. I'd think you would want to keep your regular customers. I am not the only one that feels this way either.
Kid-friendliness: It is no longer kid friendly when it comes to ordering take out.
