Was totally disappointed after driving an hour And a half and wanting to surprise my wife. Booked for Valentine’s Day based on the ambience of the place based on the pictures. I thought this was a reputable place since it was on the Open table app. The only time they had available was 4:45. Was totally disappointed to see the menu only had cheese sandwiches, burgers, soup And salad. Don’t judge a book by its cover. Outside cover was amazing, inside (service and food) was a joke.

Beautiful setting excellent service food is great the wine super superb. We will definitely go there again and again and again.
Always a joy spending time at Roaring River and Chez Josephine. Food, atmosphere and wine never disappoints. I do miss the Belgian waffle for dessert though! Looking forward to another visit!
posted as open online, we drove 45 minutes to get there, to find it closed.

Lovely venue ...glad I had made reservations. Lunch was good but given name of restaurant, I was surprised @ menu choices (nothing French?). There were 4 of us and 1 was not a wine drinker so it was nice that they had beer on the menu. We enjoyed it & will go back.
Got the burger and while I originally thought 15 was a bit expensive for a burger when it came out it was huge along with a decent portion of fries so definitely worth the money. 13 dollars for a pint of cider was a bit excessive though

Beautiful venue on the banks of the Roaring River, which does roar by as you sit on the balcony. The service was friendly and courteous. The server brought only forks and responded quickly to our request for a knife to help with the messy but very good Brie and blackberry sauce sandwich and the shrimp salad sandwich. We enjoyed it and recommend it.
Lovely view of the river and nice fast service ! Had a great time on the pretty deck with friends.
My girlfriend I dropped by this place on a whim and it was fantastic! They have a rotating menu, our food was good! Atmosphere and service was great! Beer and wine was awesome!

the place is very nice but the food was disappointing unfortunately, the pork chops were super thin and overcooked, perhaps we were unlucky
Service was excellent and the server was knowledgeable about the wines and very engaging. Very limited, pub type food menu. Hamburgers, brats, 1 pasta dish and no fish. Not what we expected from the advertisements, but enjoyed our meal overlooking the river.
Menu changes weekly but a few standards ever week (hamburgers, brats). Great setting outdoors listening to the river run past the outdoor deck which is shaded. Between the 4 of us, two had hamburgers, one had brat and another a salmon patty. All the main courses were very good. Two that had mac and cheese side said it was dry. Looked like Kraft out of a box. Waitress was excellent. Try a wine flight when you are there. Some are very good.
Our server was awesome. We dined on the deck overlooking the river and it was beautiful. The sound coming from the river made it a very nice experience, until the live music started. Now it was good music, but it was too loud and kinda spoiled the remainder of our time there. Food was good.

We were seated outside on nice porch over river in brisk wind, as was everyone else, most likely for staff's convenience. Wine tasting delicious with many options. Food portions small and very pricey. Taste average ( we have eaten all over world). Dessert very disappointing. Bill for 2 with the $80 offer over $130 with tip. Can't afford to go back.?
