Came across this place after a Google search - we were traveling across the state. We had lunch and it was fantastic! Fresh, flavorful, made from scratch, cool atmosphere, friendly service, quaint downtown. We will be back for sure! What a treasure City of Valdese!

My husband and I visited this morning for breakfast and everything was amazing! From the customer service from the time we walked in to the very end. I had the western omlette and my husband had the Huevo Rancheros and everything was fresh, hot, and so good. Portion was more then we expected. We left with full bellies ready to take on the day. This was our first visit but I can promise it won't be our last.

I had been going to mountain burritos since it was first opened in Morganton. It might be a little more expensive than popular chains alternatives, but the quality of ingredients and portion size is totally worth it! I am by no means a light eater, but a small taco salad is plenty of food for a meal. Best trick is to have chips on the bottom! I do wish they are still doing the old fried flour chips with sea salt instead of their current offering, it was the best back then!

This is the closest thing to a chipotle type place in Valdese. I have never had a bad meal here. Full or fun size, chicken is delicious,carne asada is scrumptious and queso is good, quesadillas and are dope! Always comes with chips and they have many different homemade salsas daily.
We've eaten at Mountain Burrito in Morganton and absolutely love it, so we tried Valdese location today. Wow! It's same great food, amazing customer service with added bonus of incredible atmosphere and eclectic seating. Really enjoyed and definitely recommend 👌 👍

Had a delicious Hawaiian burrito! Wish it was easier to order food. Queso is amazing but you do not get near enough. Had birthday gathering and they have a large table that we all sat at. Very friendly staff.

The one in Morganton is way better, the food just all together taste better at the morganton location, not to mention I got charged nearly $18 for nachos with NOTHING EXTRA apparently valdese charges for queso on nachos ? Not extra queso the queso that’s supposed to come on nachos lol.

Great place to get some decently healthy food choices. The atmosphere and service at the Valdese location is, in my opinion, far superior to the one in Morganton which is sometimes hit and miss but I still would go to either. LOVE their pickled peppers and pickled onions. The chips are super thick, which personally isn’t my thing but I know some people love them.

Having to order online for your food is a pain. I don't understand why you can't just tell them on the phone what you want. I would rather go somewhere else rather than go through all that trouble
