Awesome food. Comfort Fried Seafood, comfort country cooking. Service was good, parking and building area are dated, but doesn't take away from the food or service. Homemade cocktail sauce awesome too.
Best chicken and pastry I've ever had, but I could live the rest of my life eating their black-eyed peas with cornbread and butter and remain forever happy. I wish I lived around the corner from Vera's. Prompt, cheerful courteous service from a waitress who knows she's serving good food.

Passed this place on the way to the beach and back. Always talked about stopping. Had lunch here on a rainy Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Be careful... once you stop in, this place will become a regular destination. Everything was incredible!!!
