tl;dr Lin’s Garden doesn’t know how to treat customers with basic respect.I’ve lived in the Triangle area for roughly 25 years at this point and I’ve eaten at more restaurants than I can remember. Since I was a child Chinese cuisine was always at the top of my list of favorites. I’ve moved to several different areas in the Triangle and have eaten at many Chinese restaurants. Some have been amazing, some have been ok. I really can’t say that I’ve actively disliked any of them. However, Lin’s Garden has broken that streak and it wasn’t the food that did it.I got a to-go order including a couple of orders of the battered and fried sweet and sour pork. We’ve eaten this a million times. Sometimes it’s a little overcooked which is fine. When I went to Lin’s garden though this S&S pork was REALLY overcooked. I never like to complain but none of us could eat it. It was hard enough to break a window or poke a hole in an air mattress. Fine, no problem I thought, mistakes happen. I called the restaurant and politely asked the person answering the phone if they cook re-cook the sweet and sour pork. The young person who answered the phone said yes, but please bring back the other ones. Sure!Literally 10 seconds later they call me back. I hear a woman yelling in the background in Chinese and the young guy sheepishly tells me that they can’t re-cook them. The lady (who is the one yelling I guessed) said that she cooked them personally, they were perfect and they would not recook them.I really was speechless for a second…. I never thought a reaction like that would be possible…. Annoyed, I said well can I get my money back? He said yes but I need to bring the lava rocks in.So for the second time that night I drove 25 minutes back to the restaurant, gave the S&S pork to a sheepish lady while the cook (I assume) was in the very back of the restaurant still yelling (I assume saying negative things about me, but who knows). I got my money back, told them I wouldn’t be back and left. The moral of this overly long narrative is that mistakes don’t bother me… we are all human and everybody makes them. It’s how you react to your mistake that tells me whether I will bring my repeat business back to you. Ask any of the other restaurants in the area that I have spent thousands at over the years. You really need to teach the cook basic politeness and respect to your customers or you won’t have any left after a while.

Nastiest food. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. My daughter and I ordered sweet and sour pork. Brought it home, and they were nothing but a box of rocks that nobody could chew. We called the place, they said they’d remake them but we needed to bring the other ones back. No problem, you can have your box of rocks. 10 seconds later they called back and said “NO, we can;t remake them because the lady made them personally and Will not make them again.” So now they’re going to refund us. What kind of restaurant serves you trash and then refuses to remake them? Worst place. Worst customer service. I wouldn’t feed this to my dog. Stay away from here.

My daughter and I got the sweet and sour pork.We couldn’t chew it because it was hard as rocks. The rude and horrible lady who makes the food refused to correct the issue. Worst Chinese in wake Forest.

Owners seem nice but the food lacks taste & ingredients. Seems like they are cutting corners to cut costs. Ordered steamed chicken dumplings, all ingredients included were chicken. Ordered chicken Mei Fun, three ingredients carrots, chicken & noodles. Both lacked taste, I will not be returning

Moved into the area about a year ago and tried 5 different Chinese food restaurants. This one is far and away the top choice and the only one I go to now. High quality chicken, beef and soup. Good serving sizes and pricing. The young man who takes the orders is professional and kind. 6 stars if possible.

Just moved to the area and we are trying to find a Chinese restaurant. This is not the place. The spring rolls were really bad, looked like the frozen ones you get at the grocery, little to almost not filling, and not crispy at all, does not look homemade. For food we ordered Szechuan Chicken and Mongolian beef, it wasn't awful but the flavor was just not there.... Again pretty bad quality for a homemade food. And the fried rice ? Omg how can you fail fried rice? This version of "fried rice" was regular rice but yellow. No the classic fried rice with soy sauce, green onions and egg... well at least that is what I understand fried rice is, Otherwise I would have chosen normal rice and not paid the extra price.

Great food and service! They make great Pork Fried Rice and Sesame Chicken. Highly recommended!

Absolutely the WORST Chinese takeout in Wake Forest. Everything we ordered today was egregiously terrible. I don't believe that any of the positive reviews could be real people.. or perhaps they prefer to taste absolutely nothing when they eat? Our Order today: General Tso's Chicken: no heat, no salt, no anything. The only taste that punched through was freezer burn. The chicken had a leathery texture. Chicken Lo Mein: tasteless spaghetti noodles with long, leathery strips of overcooked chicken. Fried rice: was NOT fried rice.. was regular steamed rice with yellow food coloring added. Hunan Beef: again, completely tasteless, veggies undercooked and the "beef" had to be bits of rubber with (weak) beef flavor. No exaggeration: we threw everything in the trash and scrounged around the kitchen for lunch. Seriously.. this place has NO BUSINESS being open. Shameful!

Take out only. Had the General Tso chicken and vegetable lo mein. Both were pretty good. Prices are good and they have lunch specials.

VERY below average Chinese food. I've tried them 3 separate times. Food is flavorless, tastes old and reheated. Nothing crispy, everything soggy. WAY BETTER CHINESE FOOD PLACES AROUND WAKE
