I wish I had a better review for Sushi Siam. The food is generally pretty good, it’s a small place that seats a good number of people, but service is hit or miss and last night was a miss. It’s definitely understandable that a lot of places are short staffed, but taking the small minute to check in and make sure everything is still moving would have made a world of difference. We were broken hearted to learn Asuka was closed today so we gave this place a shot. We ordered sushi to go. The overall taste was average and it is overpriced for what you get for individual rolls, although the BOGO is nice. The rice was mushy, the Kani tasted like it had been sitting out and tasted dry. There was a liberal use of tempura flakes. If you've had limited experience with sushi, this place is fine. Sushi snobs stay away.

The food was excellent, the service was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. We ordered red chicken curry/white rice, shrimp tempura/fried rice, and ? ? ? very spicy Thai chicken basil. It was perfect, the tempura batter was nice and light and food was seasoned to our liking - hot but not burning. Portions were great. Waitress kept our drinks full. Restaurant was clean.
