We stopped here ina Tuesday in the middle of the day & order 4 entrees, cheese dip, and bean dip, and everything was AMAZING! The taco shells were grilled & came with fresh cilantro & onions and tons of meat. They had great vegetarian options too. Service was fast & friendly. Prices were reasonable. We were really impressed with everything and at the end of the meal you get a little free sweet treat, which was icing on the cake!
This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. We live near Greensboro and drive 30 minutes to get to Monte De-Rey even though there is a Mexican restaurant less than 5 miles from our house.The food, atmosphere and prices are great. Our waiter tonight, Carlos Alexis, is one of the best waiters we have ever had. He made us feel like we were his only customer, he was funny and personable and gave great service. I have been going to this Monte De-Rey location for years. There are 2 others that I know of. Though they are all great, this location, hands down has the best food. They also have the most reliable take out service. Besides this location's lack of street tacos and margaritas, it has served me good food 100% of the times I've gone.
