We had an amazing rooftop lunch at Blu last week. Loved the creative cocktails and food options. Service was knowledgeable and attentive. We will be back soon-what a treat!

Delicious!!! I am thrilled to find this restaurant as I am from out of town. The menu provided comfortable food options and truly made both of us savor our meals. Absolutely the best meal we have had in over 6 months! If you are in town, please make this a stop. You won't regret it!

Also, Jenna our waitress was outstanding! Thank you so much for the hospitality.

Wandered in here on a random Thursday evening. It just so happened to be the beginning of their Christmas in July theme, very cute idea at a very cozy place. Great atmosphere and people. I enjoyed the cheese plate and the shrimp scampi. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice change or look for a delicious menu.

Overall an ok place but more hype then actual. Normal experience of a farm to table is that wait staff explains restaurant and foods. Unfortunately, waiter just handed menus and welcomed.
Seemed to be short staffed as waiter rarely appeared. Never really ask if food was good.
As for food. Wife went with burger and was very disappointed. Lamb was tender on edges but very dry and in middle. Other guest enjoyed shrimp scampi.
Overall, not horrible but did not meet expectations

So, you want to experience food, not just eat it. I happen to be one of those types as well. I made plans for my husband and me to go here for lunch. We were visiting Washington, and we love exploring the local restaurant scene. So, I made reservations for Thursday at 12:30 pm.

When we got there, we were greeted and asked if we would like to sit on the rooftop or the main level. I opted for the rooftop, and thank goodness we did. There was shade and a nice breeze coming in from the Pamlico River.

Our waitress, Faith, was easygoing, like talking to a friend, and had a wealth of information. With her guidance, we chose the truffle fries for an appetizer, the lobster BLT, the crab cake sandwich, and the peach cobbler and apple crumble for dessert.

You have had truffle fries, everyone has them now, but not like these. These had a lemon aioli on them, which gave them such a unique taste that kept you grabbing one and then another and another.

I have never experienced a lobster BLT before, but when I took a bite, I knew this was exactly how it should taste. It wasn't a small sandwich either. It was a good size, big enough to make my husband happy. It's creamy, and the candied bacon took it to another level, all on a soft brioche bun.

The crab cake sandwich. Let me preface by saying I am a crab cake fiend. I sleep, breathe, and eat crab cakes, but I never thought about making a sandwich. Whoever had that idea knows their way around the kitchen. The crab cake sandwich was hefty. It was full of crab meat, about a half-inch-thick patty, topped with bacon and fresh peach salsa on a sweet brioche bun. Perfection. Perfection. Perfection.

Now on to dessert. My husband's favorite dessert is peach cobbler. He gets it when peaches are in season and when they're not. He is also crazy about ice cream. Put those together, and he is one happy man. I, on the other hand, will never opt for peach cobbler because I do not like peaches. Having said that, I think I ate half his peach cobbler. I actually know I did. The cobbler was more like a moist cake. The bottom layer was baked peaches, and it was topped with roasted peaches and little mint leaves. It was accompanied by their homemade vanilla bean ice cream. Delectable. Recommend. But hurry, the menu changes weekly, if not daily.

We had the wonderful pleasure of speaking with the owner and chef, Vickie Desourdy. She herself was a delight. Very personable and kind. We will definitely be eating here again, and again, and again.

Fantastic meal but Luke made the experience. When I go back, I'll be asking for a table in his section!

The entry, greeting, and being seated was a bit awkward but the table service and food and beverage were inspiring.

Swanky atmosphere, kind people, and amazing food!
The chef called me personally after placing an order by phone. She wanted to know how I wanted my veggie burger and what condiments I like.
This place is a hidden gem that is worth every penny! Can't wait to visit again!

Had high expectations for this restaurant! We were so disappointed. Everything we ordered had a cold center. Requested more chips with our crab chip appetizer. Our waitress brought us what appeared to be a leftover order of various chips, they were brought out to us cold, damp and nasty tasting. My husband ordered a burger with duck and pork on it. Burger was mediocre, cold center, found a bone that looked like a toenail on it. Our son ordered the burger, cold center, doused with so much blue cheese you could not taste anything else. My order of mushroom pasta was horrible!! I love mushrooms. This dish tasted like dirt. It was cold in the center. Our table was located near the doorway at the end of the bar. The “diner” bell was clanged and ringing every few minutes to let the waiters/waitresses know an order is ready. So disturbing! Really takes away from the ambience that this restaurant deserves. Hint - use a light! Delivers the message without downgrading the experience.

Poor menu choices. Venison burger was unseasoned greasy gamy flavorless. Ended up paying and going to eat at the new Fat Cats

Foodie who loves a well rounded experience, here! Made reservations for Sunday brunch. Arrive. 2 young bartenders and an older hostess greet us with total confusion. Looking at each other as if they had seen a ghost. They say they have to move tables around for us so we order a cocktail while we wait. 10-15 minutes of lame small talk with the awkward upscale restaurant greeter and bartenders. We finally get taken upstairs. We both assumed the uncomfortable greeting from staff could have been due to MDW holiday and maybe the rooftop was crowded. Well it wasn’t. Plenty of open tables. Why was getting seated such a big deal? They never asked if we had reservation but it wasn’t even needed. Bad start, but good Bloody Maria made up for it. Then the service… ughhh… it’s like they were on a mission and offered no engagement/eye contact. It was like everything was rushed, although needs were met. I hope the beautiful live music angelic voiced artist knows she could have had a much larger audience if the arrival experience and seating situation didn’t take 20-25 minutes (5-6 songs??). Love their grain and greens bowls with the salmon, but breakfast burger was just ok.

I’ve been here in the past, but always find something off. I feel they could hire better staff to better match the aesthetic (meaning relaxed, approachable, personable, patient, customer oriented, proud of supporting local and working at local business). I just didn’t pick up on any of that. If you made it this far, go see for yourself and check back in!
