Captain Cooks Waterfront Restaurant

Either the restaurant no longer exists or it is so hard to find that no customers can even get in. Called the number and it goes straight to voicemail. DON'T make a special trip to come here like we did ?

The wait staff was excellant, as was the food...many kindnesses shown to both my elderly mom and myself...I wanted to share my experience today with the owner, but she was in an interview...I will call tomorrow to share this qith the owner!!!! Between the staff, thier service, and the food; a 5 star expeeience...thank

Food really good and tasty, fabulous staff who worked really hard to keep everyone happy. Had the salmon ravioli parcel, so good, didn't want it to finish

A fantastic restaurant with lots of choices on the menu, a good selection of drinks available and the Manger and staff were warm and inviting, we had such a pleasant evening that we went back for second time

Went to captain cooks after reading a few review. Some glad we did the staff were so welcoming and the food was really good. We ended up going back the next night. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Ieper.

This restaurant was recommended by another person who had stayed in the area. We booked prior to arriving in Ypres. On arrival at the restaurant we found the staff very attentive and friendly, the lady could speak English which is very handy. The food was amazing, I have the crispy salmon and my husband had the lamb skewers. Sadly we didn't have room for dessert. Would definitely recommend this restaurant, well worth the visit.

I absolutely love this restaurant! If you are looking for a warm welcome (genuine beautiful staff) a meal that tastes fantastic! Then I urge you to book a table. It is my absolute favourite because of the atmosphere and food ?

So, lots of potential here. Great location, waitress was good. We ordered an app, it was good. We had 5 people with us, 3 of us order pork chops. Chef came out, said he only had 1 order of chops left. We thanked him for letting us know, and decided to cancel the order to go elsewhere. That's when the less than gracious attitude popped up. Understandably frustrating, for both parties, but certainly not the best loom. I'll give it another chance next time I'm in town.

Honestly, this is the worst food experience in Washington with what looks like a spiteful owner, judging by the time they take typing out rants here in the review section. I had lunch here last summer and my experience reflects the experiences from the other 1-star reviewers.Be sure to check out the other incredible restaurants around town. Washington is blessed to have so many thriving small businesses.

Looked lovely from outside Went in the staff were very friendly and understanding as we are English. I choose the Flemish stew. And it was the best stew I have eaten even better than my mums (sorry mum) the garlic mayo with the chips was bang tasty

Food was very very good but pricey (however, im sure they are experiencing rising prices as we all are). The staff met every need but was not very friendly. The atmosphere is hard to describe. Not romantic, but not horrible. It's on the water so its probably perfect for boaters if that makes sense.

Stopped in today for the first time. I ordered the steak tips with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I really enjoyed the food. The waiter was attentive and did a good job. I will definitely make a return visit.

Absolutely superb fron start to finish the service was second to none the food was brilliant , the mixed grill was cooked to perfection, our only fat was it was so good we ate every bit and couldn't fit a dessert so well have to come back
