Heartland Grill and Catering

Very disappointed today. Brunch was good and waitress was sweet. However, an elderly man came to eat brunch with his daughter and fell while on the way to the table, stepping to the left of the restaurant where the floor is elevated and not marked with red or yellow. You cannot clearly see the sudden rise in elevation. There is a hand written sign to the right to be careful IF you are looking that way. As soon as we were seated, my husband commented to me that floor was a fall risk. 10 minutes later someone tripped and fell, hit his head on the floor. An older woman that works there walked over to him and hatefully said “didn’t you see the sign?” and walked away. A man that works there did come over and help get him off the floor and out to the car so his daughter could take him to the ER, but he should have offered to call the EMTs and let them immediately check him out there. We will not be back regardless of the food, based on the lack of safety or empathy.

Disappointed- Heartland has always been our go to breakfast place for several years and we know the recent move to it’s new location was not really what the owner wanted but now they are a product of their own success. What used to be great personalized service and a wonderful small town atmosphere and good food is now less than it was before. Recent visit found us seated for almost an hour with coffee and order given with no food on the table and no attention from the waitress for coffee refill or to let us know the status of our order. We finally left without eating, only to be told by the owner in response to our disappointment “Well you can see we are really busy,” not concerned at all that we were walking out. It appears she is trying to meet an increased service need with the same number of staff. So, sad to say we are not sure we will be back. Owners response to us could have been better and would have made the world of difference as to if we were to return. Hope they can improve their service and their treatment of their customers when they are voicing dissatisfaction for the sake of all who want to take in some great food.

Food is fit for a nursing home and no dessert is available.

Absolutely love this place!! Not only are they like family, the food is always amazing!! (especially the cheesy eggs😉)

Food was nice and well prepared. Wifes sausage biscuits did not come as a pappy it was link so ask if it your first time. Food was very good

Lil hole in the wall. Fantastic food Great prices.
Had the liver and onions with bacon and gravy green beans and hush puppies .. all were perfect. Country breakfast and easy eating. Only open three days a week fri sat sun.

Great food at a great price but one of their waitresses needs work on their people skills she is the older waitress the young ones are awesome
