Very cute store but unfortunately I had a bad experience here. The store has a large assortment of olive oil and vinegar and as soon as we walk in worker starts to talk to us about them explaining the different flavors. She markets one specific flavor of vinegar as a great alternative for people who are allergic to soy as it is supposed to taste "just like it but made with other ingredients". I buy a bottle for someone I know who has this allergy. She bottles it for me and checks me out then puts the tag on the bottle. It wasn't until I got home that I looked at the tag she put on and it lists soy as the main ingredient. Definitely feel like I got scammed here.

Absolutely phenomenal! Cant say a bad thing about this restaurant. Cozy vibe, live music and comfortable seating. Food was out of this world, I had the flank steak and my boyfriend had the lamb chop. Shared the bourbon apple pie for dessert, best I’ve ever had. This is our new favorite restaurant!!! Our waiter, Christian was exceptional, we would go back just to see him!! Great night.

Recent lunches and dinner have been excellent. The menu changes regularly and features high quality ingredients prepared with flair and care. Recent dinner of skirt steak, marinaded and grilled perfectly, was the best meal I have had in Washington. The quality of sides sets Blu apart. My steak was accompanied by Gouda grits that would convert any grit-hater and delicious sautés zucchini. All for under $30. Service has been great, rooftop setting superb and wine, beer and cocktails selection is solid.

Blu left us Blue. How, let me count the ways. 1. Waiter admitted he had been working only two and was not sure about menus and drinks. 2. No beer on tap so cans are brought to the table. OK. However, no glasses came automatically or were offered. Produced upon request. 3. "glass of wine" just barely covered the bottom of the glass, martini barely covered the two olives in the glass. 4. Food was mediocre at best. 5. As we were concluding our meal, a different server came to the table and asked if she could bring our checks. No offer of coffee or dessert, just the check and we said OK. Later we learned they were planning to close at 8:30 and the next day learned they had closed for a week. All in all an expensive evening that will not be repeated.

A friend of ours recommended Blu Farm to Table for great food. We went for brunch on 6/4/23 and we were glad we did. My wife tried their Mini Frittata with House Potatoes and I tried their Blu Shrimp and Grits. Both meals were GREAT. We also enjoyed the music played by the mandolin player. The music was perfect--relaxing and not loud.

Artsy decor. Cool old Vespa scooter w sidecar in dining area. Small menu, but still difficult to decide due to the attractive descriptions. Server is very professional and courteous. Food was served quickly, and steaming hot. We enjoyed baked beans, turkey club and vegetable soup. All choices were bursting with fresh flavor. Absolutely delicious!

I had the lobster roll, and I'm pretty sure it was spoiled. I was sick after this visit. Maybe the food was expired, or maybe it was no one had gloves on and not once did I witness anyone come near the hand washing sink. Avoid this circus.

If I rated Blu on just the taste, it would be a 10. But both of our portions were small. Small cozy atmosphere with excellent service. We will definitely go back but not when really hungry.

Would 1000% return! The food is outstanding. Their portion sizes for tapas/shareable size are perfect. Amazing craft cocktails. We thoroughly it and will be back!!!!

OMG this place is just wonderful. I came in with my husband a few weeks ago and the customer service was just wonderful. The charming young lady, Mary, working at the counter was charming and so incredibly helpful when I had questions about the oil and vinegar! I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in Washington.

We ate at Lane Blu and I can honestly say that the food was good. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was not very positive. We ordered the crab bisque and the Shrimp Alfredo. Both dishes tasted great, but the bisque served to my wife was cold, while mine was hot? Go figure! The Shrimp Alfredo was very good, but it wasn’t hot enough. The Shrimp Alfredo should have been served with bread, but we didn’t get any. I asked our waitress about that and she said they had run out of bread earlier in the evening. I ordered a beer and had to wait for quite some time to get it. Basically, this restaurant was like many others you encounter in this day and time, the food was good but the service was lacking. To their credit, they didn’t charge us for the cold bisque and they gave us a 20% discount on the meal. To be honest, I would’ve rather paid the full amount and gotten a good experience, but that didn’t happen. I’m not going to say I won’t eat there again, but I won’t be rushing back.

Worst dinner in ages. $26 for a fried quail smaller than a dove and extremely tough. The shredded Brussel sprouts were drenched in grease. The yuca fries were undercooked, chewy, and tasteless. $110 for my wife and me with tip. Rediculess. Stopped on our way back to the hotel at a rib joint so I didn't go to bed hungry. I only gave it 1 star because that's the minimum...should have been a ZERO.

Great oil and vinegar combos for cooking. Loose leaf teas. Appliances and furniture. Utensils. Very nice reception and tasting opportunities.
