Excellent cocktails to start. Our service was spectacular and the food out of this world! Really cool space for a restaurant as well!
A wonderful evening of fastastic food, wine and service! We had a lively even v this week!
The Hackney is a great special occasion restaurant for dinner. My husband loves the The Hackney Double-Decker Smash Burger. My favorite is the shrimp and grits. Lunch on Saturday is another treat for us. I can't resist the (cat)fish and chips! And on't miss the sticky toffee pudding! We have never been disappointed by a meal at The Hackney. Service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is lovely and conducive to good conversation. When we have out-of-town guests, we always take them to the Hackney. We're lucky to have such a talented chef, Jamie Davis, in Little Washington.
Always elegant and unique! Their locally distilled 1000 Piers gin is superb!, and their menu features seasonal and locally sourced specialties.
My husband and I are local patrons of this restaurant. And from our many satisfied visits to this establishment I can promise you it is NOT your typical, run-of-the-mill dining experience! Suzanne, Chef Jamie and ALL of the staff are awesome! The food is local sourced when possible -which is most everything-, and prepared to perfection! Not to mention Nick and the distillery! Not just one great gin, but several nice offerings. And just recently he has now added vodka to the 1000 Pier’s line up! We are grateful you are here, and look forward to many more memories with you!
Whether you sit at the bar or have a more formal meal at a table the food and drinks are like no other. Chef Jamie always puts forth the best dishes, with the most beautiful presentations. The wine list is expertly paired with the dishes. The staff are kind, polite and very knowledgeable about the food and drinks being served. The atmosphere is fun and romantic all at the same time! Washington NC is on the map with The Hackney!
Hands down the best atmosphere, service, and food in Washington, NC! Oh, and the cocktails are spectacular.
We were a party of two and enjoyed every aspect of this exceptional restaurant! They offer a very high level of food and presentation. Wonderful expertise delivered with appreciation of our having chosen the Hackney!
My wife and I have dined at the Hackney several even though we live 3 hours away.
Washington and The Hackney have become a getaway destination. We have always enjoyed our food, drinks and service there and look forward to future visits.
We attended Passion 25 last night. It was one of the best culinary experiences ever. Everything was perfect. I can’t say enough positive about it.

I love the Hackeny!! Absolutely beautiful atmosphere.
The price point for food is more expensive but it's well worth it!! the quality of food, service and ambiance really makes it a 5 start dining experience. I love their cocktails and the bartenders are super knowledgeable and flexible if substitutions or alterations are requested. The same goes for the food as well. Staff are very knowledgeable about the food and always so helpful and attentive.
Thank you Hackney staff for always a good time. I look forward to the next visit!!
one of my favorite places for date night!
This is my and my wife’s favorite place. The food is excellent. Chef Jaime comes up with some incredible dishes. The drinks are always awesome. If you don’t think you’re a gin drinker just try their gin in their drinks.
The staff and service is always great. The owners are awesome!
Once you go you’ll keep going back!
Wonderful Dinning experience
This is a great place to have a nice dinner date, have a fun brunch or lunch with friends, or just have a drink at their bar. They have the best bartenders who can make any type of mixed drink and if you like gin they will make you a great drink with the gin they distill and sell next door. The restaurant is beautiful and one of the nicest places downtown but I don't feel out of place coming in from the waterfront in flip flops and shorts to have a drink and a bite at the bar.
