Val’s Gourmet Baked Goods

We traveled to Washington for a day trip and happened to stop by the vendor market and Val’s Gourmet Baked Goods. Arthur was incredibly kind and made sure we were able to keep our desserts chilled on the drive home by providing a box and ice packs. We had a few bites by the river front and cannot wait to get home to try more! Thank you for the wonderful customer service and delicious treats!

Celebrated my mom's birthday at the end of August. Bought a cake from Val's Gourmet Baked Goods. The cake was a success and thankfully it was served close to the end because the cake became a talking piece. Simple design was all that was needed. Happy mouths and tummies. There wasn't a drop leftover. I also was impressed by the family friendly service I received by the wonderful couple. Thank you both for helping my mother's birthday celebration a success. I applaud you and pray blessings for your future continued success. Located in Washington, NC aka Little Washington in a quaint window store with other small businesses. Little Washington has a beautiful downtown and atmosphere. Then to satisfy your taste buds with the taste of butter pecan cake with chocolate filling puts Washington, North Carolina on my future to do list thanks to Val's Gourmet Baked Goods. I wandered into the market place and Art said I had to come inside his store to experience all of the items he had to offer.

The strawberry and jalapeno jam was so delicious 😋. I also picked up a huge chocolate chip cookie that was so mouth watering. I immediately tasted the real butter and chocolate.I was supposed to share half with my daughter but ate the whole cookie.🤷🏾‍♀️

I will definitely be back for some key lime cake soon!

Ordered our wedding cake from Val. It was the most delicious cake I've ever had! Lemon flavor with cream cheese icing - yum! They delivered it on time and it was exactly what I wanted!

Such amazing people! Mrs. Val and Mr. Art are the nicest people you will probably ever meet! Had my daughters 16th birthday cake made by them and they hit it out the park!! The creativity and love that was put in this cake was honeslty priceless!! This cake was so pretty I almost hated to cut it, but so glad we did because it was amazing!!! You want baked good or a cake made go see them you will not be disappointed at all!!!!

Val’s carrot cakes are the bomb. Love is the #1 ingredient in everything Val bakes. In a word, scrumdiddlyumptious!

The carrot cake an the blueberry cheese cake is oh so good will be going back an the other bakery goods that I had were also delicious 😋

Our favorite place to go in downtown Washington, extremely friendly couple who makes all of their food with love and passion! We've brough our in-laws here a few times and appreciate the friendly service!

I’ve had the carrot cake, the cinnamon rolls and a few other tasty treats,. The worst I’ve tasted from Val’s bakery was absolutely amazing.
The staff is very accommodating, friendly and most importantly has a positive attitude.
Highly recommended.

Picked up a delicious cherry pie and apple turnover while visiting from out of state. Very happy we stopped in, even got it wrapped up nicely for the trip home. Owner was super friendly, great experience!

Wow! The cakes are amazing. One slice is big enough for 2-3 people. Worth every penny.

If you are looking for a fancy cake for a fancy occasion, this is the place to go. Beautifully decorated and delicious. If you don't have a fancy occasion but you still want a piece of fancy cake. This is the place to go. You can get fresh special occasion Cake by the slice everyday at Val's. My personal favorite are the cheesecake filled cakes, and the best flavor is pistachio. Black and white cake is pretty good too. Don't be put off by the price per slice. It is worth it. And if you're still on a budget, you can make it into four servings easy, but you won't want to.
