Got a cheesecake here for my fiancé’s birthday and it wasn’t that great. For the price I paid for it I should have went and got one from the Cheesecake Factory! I had really high hopes it was gonna be great but was disappointed. Maybe their other stuff is better but I don’t recommend getting a cheesecake here.

Some of the bakery goods we tried were stale and some were just okay. Cute place. Great location on the main drive but parking is not great.

Do not believe other reviews on here. I been here a couple of times and even have brought my family from Miami here. We always have a great experience with the staff and owner. The bake goods are always fresh and delicious. My family calls us craving their desserts. They can not wait to visitt to come and pick up desserts here.. we love it..

Friendly, patient staff. Everything I've had has been very good and the price is lower then any other place I've been around Waxhaw.

I went in knowing nothing, no expectations, and these treats are EXCELLENT! What a pleasant surprise. I will be returning.

The food looked stale and there was a fly inside the bakery case. The person that was there was not at all friendly.

We love Burneys' pastries. The filled croissants are delicious -- they fill them with your choice of filings while you're there. The coffee cake is also wonderful. I don't understand the complaints about the service -- they've always been friendly and cheerful.

The girl working there was friendly and answered all my questions. Unfortunately the donuts, particularly the red velvet one tasted terrible. It was very hard. The owners should be aware of this and fix it.

owners were incredible rude, yelling at customers and even more at their own staff. i had a glazed croissant and a muffin, and both were old and hard. not at ALL fresh as advertised. i tried twice there and had the same exact experience- will never be returning

The owners have been consistently rude every time I’ve come in and the cupcakes always taste old. The workers on the other hand have always been very kind and attentive.

The apple fritter wasn’t good at all and they really didn’t have very many options. I dropped $50 dollars on a dozen croissants a cinnamon roll and a chocolate croissant. I was blown away by that.

How is this place still open? $10 for 2 stale and clearly several days old items. Couldn’t even finish the first mouthful and spat it out. If you can’t be bothered to put the effort in, close up and quit.

Bakery storefront with some seating inside and out in downtownWaxhaw. You walk in and are greeted both verbally and with smells of coffee and baked goodness! Order is simple, wak up to.the counter and chose your goodies. We did to-go, and everything was delicious! Small space but huge flavors . Large pieces and reasonable prices. Great place to stop in for some baked goods.

The cake tastes great but looks awful. I wasn’t shown it before I left and when I got home I opened the box and noticed the piping just looked awful. When I called to see if there was some way to fix it before bringing it to the birthday party I was put on hold several times. If I bought a cake again I’d buy from the window. My mother was a professional cake chef and she never would have left a cake looking like this. The baker felt the need to tell me it was done at 2am so it was fresh when I said it looked like lettering I had done myself. After looking at reviews it might be best in the future if your bakery either mimics the cakes you feature at your register as standard and ask what flavors, sprinkles and other decorations people want in addition to requesting a photo be provided.

I bought my baby a cake pop from here and when we bit into it there were a ton of mold spots. I called the restaurant back to let them know and all that was offered was my little $15 back. The manager then proceeded to tell me there was a batch that was exposed to heat and was not supposed to be left out. This is a MAJOR issue especially given that she knew there was a bad batch.
