My wife and I were looking for a local restaurant that served a great breakfast/brunch. I googled Waynesville locations and found Beach Mountain Diner which she said she'd been hearing good things about. We decided to head over last Sunday to afternoon to check it out. All I can say is that this place was fantastic - far better than my expectations! The restaurant was busy even at 1:30 and had a line out the door however they really have an efficient kitchen and wait staff because they were turning tables quickly and the wait was very short. The service was top notch and super friendly! The food was out of this world! Every single item was fantastic - there was nothing lacking! The eggs were fluffy and fantastic, the homefries were crispy and not greasy, the chicken fried chicken with sausage gravy was fork tender and absolutely incredible and last but not least, the pancakes were buttermilk perfection! This will be a new regular for us!

We came here on a Sunday morning on the recommendation of a lovely local gentleman. There's plenty of parking nearby, the host was super welcoming and we didn't have to wait a horribly long time. I ordered the crab eggs Benedict and I loved that you could order it as a half. The cheese grits were great and super creamy. My husband got a omelette which he enjoyed with their house hot sauce. Our server was super nice and you could tell everyone in the place was happy to be there. It truly felt like we were at the beach while in the mountains.

When we pulled up and saw how busy this place was I knew we found a good spot. The wait even with how busy it was at the time was only like 20 minutes, but the bar is first come first serve so we snagged a spot there. Those people are moving to keep up with everybody! Great service, we shared some laughs with our waitress.

Got lost and somehow ended up In Waynesville and this diner. It will be the highlight of our 2 week road trip!Food is delicious with the biggest portions I've ever seen. Staff are incredible.Had the pleasure to sit next to the town mayor and his wife who were absolute gems sharing with us about the area.Such friendly and sweet people in this town, worth a visit, especially this establishment.

Great place to eat. Staff was very pleasant and professional. The pancakes were delicious and fluffy, plenty as far as the portions. I had to order the short stack because the other portions were too much food for me. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
