Great Date Night spot. Food was spot on. This is what I want when I think ribeye, lots of gluten free options. Nice selection of Draft beer as well.

One of the best meals we have had in Western North Carolina, and our server, Salem, could not have been more attentive and friendly. We had the Tomato Pie, Fried Chicken, Country Fried Portobello, Banana Pudding, and Apple Cobbler. Everything was excellent. We will definitely return. Highly recommend!!

we decided to stop here on our drive back yesterday from TN to charleston SC and i am so glad we did! i will be thinking about their gravy for many years to come (also get the creamed collard greens). the chicken tastes so fresh and clean, it just melts in your mouth. the service was fabulous - they helped each other out - important for us since we were in a hurry! the staff was receptive and aware. highly recommend!! we love the NC mountains and we will def be back! thank you to all for a fabulous lunch!

Well-meaning wait staff but inefficient, therefore slow. My dish took extra time to prepare, but the waiter didn't put the order for the entre in until after I finished the salad. Food is pricey for what you get.

We celebrated My Mother's 90th birthday here today. We are local and this was our first time visiting. We had reservations and our table was ready when we arrived. Erica, our server, was totally awesome! She dealt with 10 adults and two kids... THANK YOU for your great service!

Now the food..... our table had meatloaf, burgers, portabella and kid's meal. Everything was excellent! A couple of our family members visiting from Florida stated that was the best meal they have had since being here! And for dessert, we had a birthday cake that Staff brought out with candles, sang and presented to Mama!

Thank YOU BIRCHWOOD HALL for making this such a wonderful experience and memorable day!????

Visited Birchwood for dinner while visiting Waynesville. Was looking forward to a comforting Southern meal. Birchwood is a welcoming place right on Mainstreet. Our server was friendly and professional, but they were out of our first wine choice (not an expansive wine list) and our mains came out while we were still working on starters. This always bothers me. The Duck Confit starter was good but the skin could have been crispier. The biggest letdown was the seared trout was off. It was definitely a piece of fish that was past it's time. The fried chicken was juicy and tasty but the breading which was great at first became a bit much by the 2nd piece of chicken. Next time visiting I will likely be dining elsewhere.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Loved the trout and others the ribeye steaks. The sides with the meals were wonderful. Even really enjoyed the banana pudding (best I have tasted since my grandmother's). Quiet and not busy. Loved it.

Birchwood is a go to for us, especially with out of town guests. Delicious entrees - chicken, meatloaf- and side dishes - tomato pie and collards. And don't skip the desserts. Great service. My “foodie” friend loved it.

Good service but unfortunately food was fair. Ordered a ribeye steak medium well and was served medium rare. They did offer to put back on the grill but it was served on a bed of mashed potatoes, brussel sprout leaves and bacon jam, so I opted out and only ate the the mixed mash of veggies. My husband however ordered the same and he liked his & the way it was cooked. We both had a mixed drink each and split and appetizer and the bill with tip was $150.

My wife and I are locals in Waynesville and have been to Birchwood many times. We've never had a bad meal there but last night was really amazing. My wife had the pork chops and I had the catfish. We both agreed that both meals were the among the best we've ever had anywhere.
Tied for first in Waynesville which is saying something considering two of their competitors.
Chef Peek is the real deal, folks. Go try out Birchwood next time you're on Main Street.
