Excellent service. Best yeast rolls I have ever had! Ample portions, appropriately priced. The 4 stars for atmosphere is due to how loud it was in the restaurant. I couldn't hear my husband from just across the table.

10/10! Good home style cooking. Got the bacon cheese burger with tots. Easy order yet most restaurants can’t get it right. This place did. Gave us tons of ranch when we asked for a side. Waitress was nice and went above and beyond. Atmosphere is nice and homey. Will be back many more times in the future. Kids loved it. Menu is huge and lots of options. Highly recommend

I have passed Clyde's for many, many years but never stopped in to eat. I am glad we did. Clyde's offers daily specials of a meat and three sides daily. We ordered from the menu and everything was GREAT. We shared a delicious dessert of cherry cobbler. WOW was it good. Our waiter was attentive and very nice. If you are in or around Waynesville NC, you have to go and eat there.

I had high hopes for this place. The restaurant looked the part. Had decent reviews. But……..Substandard food and service. Food arrived cold. Wait staff didn’t stop by after food was on the table so we couldn’t voice our opinions/complaints. The food wasn’t really worth complaining about to be straight forward about it. Even if it had been served hot the food lacked taste. Lackluster broccoli casserole, the yams were offensive. If you can’t serve candied yams (in the south!!!!) properly, take them off the menu. Both were served COLD. Seemed like canned food. Fish and chips was an abomination, an insult to call them fish and chips. Folks from England would have laughed in the face. Only slightly better grade than store bought boxed fish. The only positive take away was the cornbread and the brown gravy. That’s it. Management said “we could’ve fixed it if we had known.” They offered no apologies and had a “how dare you to say bad things about our restaurant” kind of attitude. The food was still on the table and we barely touched it. No discount was even offered. Be better. Do better. Poor.
Everyone can have a bad day in the kitchen but, at the very least the quality of service should always be priority. One and done with Clyde’s.

Been there twice. a few years ago my crew and I sat down and ordered our food. everyone got their food except me. they gave my order to someone else. by the time I got it they were already finished. my pattymelt was. under cooked.
second time going there with a friend. I ordered a bacon cheese burger. I get this scrawny patty with 2 skinny slices of bacon on a soggy bun.
never going back there. I don't know how people line up to eat at that dump!
We ate here for lunch and let me tell you, they open at 11 and by 11:05 the place was hopping. It's casual and relaxed, fast service, super friendly staff, great parking, and maybe the best coffee I've ever had. My husband got a reuben and tots, and I got their "world famous" patty melt. Both were yum.

First time at Clyde’s and absolutely loved it!!❤️❤️ Out on a long Sunday drive through the Smokies and Blue Ridge Pkwy which led us to this fantastic restaurant. The staff, service, food was all great and will definitely be back!
