Food was A+, management / ownership a little frazzled. We were allowed to sit down without a reservation but the restaurant never made it more than 1/2 full.Kitchen approved our 5 course meal which was on the menu for the weekend and it was really good. The server was really on point, she knew her wine and food, spaced everything very nicely. They didn’t have a bartender so they couldn’t make any mocktails but had plenty of wine.Dessert was nice but we were so full.Recommend just showing up if you can’t get a reservation, they told someone on the phone they couldn’t accommodate but the space was literally empty.I’ll go back and try more! Gorgeous facility and props to the chefs

The food was superb! However, for the price, the whole experience should match. There were a number of back-and-forths about surcharges (cake cutting $2/pp, $8 splitting fee for 2 children on a $46 entree, $3 per extra hushpuppy... etc). The charges are understandable, but how it was handled and brought up at every turn really took away from the experience. Our total was $400 for 4 adults and 2 kids (including wine) but it felt like we were being nickle-n-dimed a bit too much at this price level. With a little extra warmth and hospitality, it could be a really special place!

The server was so professional and knowledgeable about the menu. The service was very quick, the decor was welcoming and comfortable, and the food! The food was so good. You could tell at the very first bite that the chef enjoyed making each dish. Will definitely return.

After living here for three years, we finally discovered this gem. Several friends highly recommended it so we were able to sneak away for a quiet dinner. Tristan was an amazing server and bartender. The food was outstanding, both the small plates and the main courses. The wine parings were perfect as well. We are happy we found Frog's Leap and will definitely be back.

Frog's Leap never disappoints! The food is always fantastic and the servers are experts on the menu and ingredients. The ambience is perfect any day of the year but especially on cool fall days.

My wife and I went last night for date night and this was quite possibly the worst dining experience we've ever had. Especially for the price. I made a reservation online for 8:30. The restaurant called and asked if we could change it to 8 and I agreed. We then had to rush and get ready since it's about a 45 minute drive. We called ahead and said that we would be about 10 minutes late and we walked into the restaurant at 8:09. Our table for two was not ready. The hostess and 2 waitresses were bussing tables in a house of what I estimated to be about 20 tables. I understand the new normal of being short staffed but this was ridiculous. Why did they change our reservation to earlier and then not be ready for us? We ordered cocktails and did not get them until 8:28. My cocktail was decent if only about 3 glugs but my wife's pear pollywog was completely oversalted and just gross. My wife is diabetic and had done her insulin before going in. After the long wait just to get a drink I told the waitress and she said she would put part of our order to the front. When she passed by again, I asked if there was even some bread or crackers for my wife so that she could get something in her stomach. She flatly told me no. When the first two dishes arrived it was close to 8:45. We ordered the devils on horseback, pork belly, onion soup and sweet potato fritters. The stuffed figs were bad with no flavor of blue cheese, the bacon overdone, and with the texture of liver mush. The pork belly was good but not by any means "life changing" as the waitress had claimed, and probably only 3 ounces at that. The onion soup broth itself was good but the bread (which I was told they don't have any of) was solid as a rock and burnt. It was so hard I threw it on the table and it bounced. The sweet potato "fritters" were like deep fried strings and were completely burnt; this was inedible even though I was very hungry. I am so glad that we didn't take our kids. It would have been a nightmare.

This restaurant is outstanding!!! There are no words to describe the magical way they meld flavors/spices. This is our go-to for special occasions. It is very pricey which is the reason for the 3 stars for value although it is “an experience”

Outstanding farm to table cuisine in downtown Waynesville. We enjoyed all our entrees but the scallop dish was particularly good. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. We will be returning on our next visit to town.

We visited for the first time this past weekend and we're not disappointed! The food was absolutely delicious. I love the eclectic menu and the chef is very creative/talented! Our server was very knowledgeable of each dish and very pleasant.

This was our first visit and it was our anniversary dinner. Our server Melissa was wonderful through out the evening! We ordered the 5-Course Tasting Menu and it was fantastic, generous portions artfully presented, and delicious. The Chef suggested wine pairing was well chosen and perfectly complemented each dish. We would highly recommend Frog's Leap Public House!

Frogs Leap Public House is a class act all the way around. Our food was outstanding with flavor combinations that explode in your mouth. The service was excellent with our waiter extremely well versed in the menu options. The atmosphere is casual and cozy as we had a table for two celebrating our anniversary. The owner is welcoming and went above and beyond in making our special night memorable. Highly recommend this eating establishment!

We arrived 20 minutes early for our 6 pm reservation. The restaurant was half full. They agreed to seat us, if we would have cocktail hour at the table for awhile, which we agreed. The Old Fashion and White Bordeaux were great. About 6:20 they took our food order. Devils horseback appetizer was very good. My husband had the fried chicken stuffed with pimento cheese and it was excellent. I had the short rib over grits. It was good however the grits were lukewarm as were the vegetables. The short rib was good but not “fall off the bone” as promised. It was average. They were very good to bring another side dish of grits, which were excellent, however still just not hot. The ambiance was nice, service was on the slower side from the kitchen. The bill including tip was over $200 for two. We would recommend for a special night out, just be prepared for a leisurely dinner.

We stayed in Waynesville for 4 nights. Frogs Leap hands down was the most innovative and flavorful food. Ashleigh provided awesome service. The only drawback on going back was cost. I felt guilty paying $49 for a chicken breast but I most definitely enjoyed it. If money is no consideration then this is an amazing experience…and I certainly hope to go again on a future visit!

The food, the Riverview and patio seating, the fact that it was dog, friendly, and delicious food, made this one of our favorites. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves highly recommend.

We are there a few years ago and it was delicious! Could barely get a seat it was so busy. They only offered 1 salad , a seasonal salad it actually was the good . We got the steak , it was so burnt you could not eat it , I mean black burnt! I got the French onion soup, the onions were still like raw, it had no flavor. We asked for some bread- they don’t have any . We could not even finish our meal. We did tell our waitress, we tipped her well as she had just started working there . The chef is the owner apparently. Hopefully things well get better. Very very disappointed.
