Haywood is my favorite! been to the other locations but this one in waynesville is quite unique as its in a old classic house. service always on point. bar b q is delicious

Definitely the trifecta! Everything is consistently awesome. The awards for the food are warranted... GREAT BBQ EVERYTHING. We've tried just about everything and you can tell they take great pride in all their meats and sauces and the sides are great too. The Waynesville location is just this cool old house - perfect for the experience. The guy that runs things (embarrassed that I don't remember his name) is always upbeat, friendly, calmly hustling and overboard on making sure everything is to your liking and plentiful... EVERY TIME. You can totally tell that rubs off on the rest of the staff too. Five Star Plus all the way around... and I'm one of those who rarely takes the time to put out a review unless it is really deserved one way or the other. Only problem is too many people know it :).

Delicious barbecue - both the chopped pork and brisket had a deep smoke flavor. Slaw and green beans were average. Collards were very good. Outdoor seating area could use some improvement, but that's not enough of a negative to keep me from returning. We will be back!

After a recent visit to Haywood Smokehouse, I realized how spoiled I had been. Moving to an area where the BBQ is less than stellar, I was happy to return to my hometown (Waynesville) for a tasty BBQ dinner with friends. The ribs were delicious- tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I will be dreaming about the Strawberry Habanero BBQ sauce (bottle & sell it, please). One of my friends had a food allergy, and they went out of their way to make sure everything was safe and enjoyable for them. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. Oh and the Nanner pudding--- soooooo good.

Everything I've ever eaten here is great. They don't miss on anything and the service is spectacular. I highly recommend the Texas 2 Step sandwich with the brisket chopped, add grilled onions/mushrooms/jalapeños and cover with the spicy red sauce.

Seriously the most amazing bbq I’ve ever had and I’ve grown up all over southern bbq. This place is incredible. We had the pulled pork, chicken and brisket. Honestly their Brunswick stew was alright. But everything else was perfect. Their sauces are also really well done.
