Low Tide offers a basic menu of seafood (fried, grilled, or pan-seared), and steaks. There are appetizers. Beer, wine selections. Salads. Sides.Very casual atmosphere. Clean and with a good sanitation score of 100. Friendly staff. Prices are on the higher side considering it's so casual but they aren't too pricey all things considered.I ordered a salad with grilled shrimp. I'm super picky about seafood--if it's not fresh looking/tasting, I won't eat it. This shrimp was plump and juicy and fresh tasting. Not overcooked. Not under-seasoned. The house wine Pino Noir I had was surprisingly good for a house wine. My friend had the filet medallions and they were tender and tasty. The food arrived at a reasonable time considering how busy they were.Better either go very early, or wait and see what happens. I was really surprised to see how crowded it was at 5, which I thought was super early as people had been arriving since 4--we snagged the last parking spot. It calmed down about 6:30 but was still hopping busy. Note that there are limited hours of 4PM to 8PM, which is a bit early for dinner hours (well, the 4PM is) but if you don't mind that, head on over and grab a seat: indoors or outdoors.I'll go back.

We Spent a lot of money for our family of four to eat here. Over $100 to be exact. We all ordered different plates. All the food tasted the exact same. Old grease maybe ? No flavor what so ever. Each piece of fish was really dark fried. Nastiest food I’ve ever got. I say got because it went straight into the trash!!!

We paid a hefty price for 4 people to eat. Around 100 dollars flat. I'd like to start off with the fries. The fries were more like "boiled potato strips". Abdolutley zero flavor.Next, we had both catfish and flounder. They were incredibly greasy and again, absolutely flavorless like the fries. I tried to drown the sorrow of no flavor in tartar sauce which didn't help mask the sadness much. The breading was very crispy but super greasy. Nausea inducing grease. The slaw provided was crushed cabbage with little colorful bits in plain dukes mayonnaise. I'm more of a fan of, uh, flavor, so this slaw is very sad. It was incredibly crunchy which isn't a bad thing for me personally. The deviled crabs were tiny but flavorful. I had these before anything else and cursed me to a horrible time with the remaining food. The tartar sauce was pretty decent. I've had better out of a bottle, but, it wasn't terrible. The atmosphere was lovely, lively, warm and welcoming. The restaurant smelled amazing inside and the staff were very friendly.I've heard decent things about the bar inside but if you're wanting good fish, go somewhere else. The other items on the menu that aren't fish are surely better. The shrimp plate was pretty good. Flavorful, a bit more rubbery than I'm used to in shrimp, but overall not bad.

Great food and service. Dan (the owner) is a hoot; just don't get him started on electric cars.Parking: Plenty of parking in front of the property.Kid-friendliness: Open outdoor area with rooms for kids to make noise (not that I endorce it)

My reviews are typically positve. Only one review was strongly negative. I don't waste my time reviewing "average" experiences.Having said that, Low Tide is easily in the top three of all restaurants that I've visited, in my life! I've been vacationing in the Haywood County area for nearly fifty years, and my wife and I had selected a different restaurant for our supper. We decided at the last minute to try this new-to-us restaurant. It was certainly worth it!Ashley P. was great. She knew the menu, made suggestions when asked, and was friendly and attentive without being annoying. According to my wife, the brussel sprouts were the best that she has ever eaten. I can say without a doubt that the flounder was amazing. It was light and flaky with a very mild taste. The batter was perfect. Not "if," but WHEN you go, you MUST order hushpuppies. Finally, it was our first visit, but will certainly NOT be our last. We have a very good relationship with someone who has been in the hospitality industry in Haywood and Buncombe County for over forty years.Low Tide should expect an increase in business as the recommendation of well-satisfied visitors spreads. As the owner of a small business myself, I appreciate how much positive reviews and word-of-mouth means.I also know that each review is read (I read every review for *my* business), and I want to state the obvious . . . You can't please everyone. However, Ashley P. is an asset, and should be recognized. Keep doing what you're doing. It's working. We'll be back, and bring others.

The kitchen was out of several things. No Parmesan cheese at all. Salad was small for the price. Everything was over priced. No napkins on the table. Just an uncomfortable place. Main focus seemed to be the bar. The stairs going to to the main door were scary and no lighting. Don't see all the hype. Was
