We love this place and are so happy it survived the hurricane.
We stopped here on the way and this definitely became the highlight of the day.
Loved the vibe here... We were here on a weekday afternoon and it was so heartwarming to see groups of lovely women making art or playing board games in the cafe. I could feel the warmth here. The place was clean.
We sat in the outdoor area which was very peaceful yet lively.
Food was good too! We had London Fog, Pimento Cheese Sandwich and Chicken salad Sandwich. Quantity is generous... Our hearts got full and belly fuller!

I’m so very happy this beautiful coffee shop was not damaged during the hurricane. They have the BEST service and Best coffee and sandwiches around.

Food was pretty good, but espresso drinks were not. Cappuccino milk wasn't properly microfoamed and the coffee itself is a bland
dark roast with no complexity. It might have just been our particular barista, but I wouldn't go back when Orchard is right up the street.
The atmosphere was great. Indoors has tons of space with nice lighting to work and chill, and outdoor seating is right by the river.

Panacea is a great word but not descriptive of a business that doesn't describe what they sell. That seems to be the trend of co-opting words nowadays. I Google a word I don't know and I find a business.
I am a regular. It pains me to have to write this review, as I typically prefer to rave about a local business. I have been in many times, and have given them many chances. As of late I have been met with a HORRIBLE attitude by all of the workers here. They treat the customers as though we are a burden, play favorites with certain locals, and have a STARK double standard. Do NOT support this local business. They do NOT play well with our lovely community. I would love to see this change, however I don’t foresee that happening.

First time here, and it won't be our last. There were multiple items on the menu that I wanted to try, but I finally decided on The Ruby with a side of broccoli salad. I also had a very refreshing blackberry lemonade. The sandwich was perfection. The toasted sourdough bread was delicious. Everything was made even better by sitting outside with a view of the creek. If you're in the Waynesville area, I definitely recommend you try this place out. I can't wait to go back and try the coffee and bagel sandwiches!
