We were visiting Waynesville and stopped for dinner and sat at the bar. The bar had dust all over and seemed dirty. We were sitting next to the kitchen door and heard one of the staff say “five second rule”, we all know what that means! Would not go back and would NOT recommend.

We just picked up for carry out, so I can’t rate the service or atmosphere, but the food was all incredibly good. Super impressed with how well it was all packaged and how delicious everything was despite the carryout - crispy things were still crispy, etc. So good!! Will definitely eat here again.

I have heard a great deal of good things about this restaurant. Glad I tried it finally. Maybe it was just the items I ordered this go around; but, I wasn't overly impressed. The pimento cheese had a fishy taste and the open-faced pot roast tasted like French onion soup. A little overwhelming for me.

We had a wonderful date night. We were able to walk right in with no wait, but there usually is a wait. Our server was very attentive and kept our drinks refilled. Our meals were delicious and we didn't have to wait too long for those to be cooked. We've also eaten lunch here and it's a great spot for that as well.

French onion soup is fabulous. The fried saltines with pimento cheese was delicious. The open face pot roast was also delicious minus the gobs of fat through it. The fat filled up a saucer dish. This is twice now I've ordered the roast beef and had this problem. Think I'll try a different dish when we come in April.

We had a great lunch. The food was awesome. We sat where we could see into the kitchen, which I usually don't like. I enjoyed watching the staff as I have never seen a staff work as cohesive. As soon as the order came in, everyone looked at it, went to their separate prep stations, and without any quarrel produced a great product. It was the most quiet kitchen I have ever watched. Seeing that quality of work is the obvious reason the food is so good. Food went out as fast as it was prepared. I had the open faced pot roast. If I was at home, I would have licked the plate. The server was very personable. Highly recommend this restaurant.
I can't imagine making a reservation for this place. The food isn't even good. Who charges $30 for meatloaf? I ordered salmon and it was not fresh. It had a fishy taste served with a dry small scoop of mashed potatoes and priced at $30. '3 oz of fish and a scoop of potatoes" Definitely not worth the price ? Far from an upscale restaurant as described.

I saw someone's picture of the menu on this listing and had my heart set on the shrimp and grits, but their lunch menu only has soup, salad, and sandwiches. I still enjoyed a very tasty burger. They have limited seating, so I imagine the place fills up for dinner.
