Great find in a small town...located on the north side of town, the varied menu offers some for everyone. Daily specials are a winner... great food, service and price.Try the flounder. It's delicious!

Down-home cooking at its very best! We received good-sized portions, and the food was hot. Mind-blowing menu with its sheer variety, especially seafood and daily specials. Highly recommend a stop at this favorite among the locals.

The best place we ate while we were on vacation! Apps were huge and so were entrees. Food was out fast as well! A little disappointed in myself that we didn't leave room for dessert, but definitely will be back!

My husband and I ate breakfast there after a morning of going to yard sales. All I can say is WOW. The food was amazing as was our service! Before we were even though our breakfast we already asked for a menu to take home. Going to eat dinner there this weekend! We live in Candler but definitely worth the drive!

We were very impressed with the service. Our waitress was hard working & checking in with us at the perfect times. The food was amazing...all five of us loved our food. Three had fried chicken, one had barbecue (large portion) and I had the California Wrap & fries. Large quantities, fabulous taste & great prices!? Wish we lived closer, but we will definitely be sharing about Tommy's with friends & will stop by whenever we get through again.?

Food was average. I ordered the corned beef hash with great hopes, considering they had a Reubens on the menu. It was canned. It looked like someone's dog already ate it. I should have asked; that's my bad. I am sure their other food is good. Looked good on the menu and other reviews. You win some, you lose some. Still better than a chain. Great service, great vibe.

Great local restaurant with home style cooking. It has many, many options that are all reasonably priced. We enjoyed it so much we returned a second time before we left the Asheville area.

Friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. The food was poor to okay. There are a number of sides to select from, but neither my sister nor I were happy with ours. My rice was dry and cold, and the broccoli was way overcooked. It must have been boiled. My sister said her chicken gravy looked and tasted like a mixture of chicken broth and corn starch. However, my fish was good and my brother-in-law enjoyed his ham and cheese sandwich.

My family had a great lunch at Tommy's. All employees were working hard. Our food was fresh and the portions were very generous compared to lunch the day before at the Twisted Laurel. My son's burger was nearly triple the size. My daughter's grouper platter was really impressive, at least double the size of the seafood platter from the other restaurants and served with great homemade sides like green beans, Mac n cheese etc.We left with drinks to go and plenty of leftovers.Afterwards, I heard of some recent issues with the restaurant, but it seems they've been working hard to make sure the place is immaculate. I'm glad we had already had a great meal there without prejudging it. Other restaurants in town haven't matched the prices, freshness or attentive service that we experienced at Tommy's.Vegetarian options: Pasta dishes, spinach pie with salad or platter of 4 veggie sides

We live in East Asheville but it’s well worth the drive. Truly a down home atmosphere and great food. Even breakfast!

My husband and I have gotten takeout from this restaurant for the last 3 years. We quickly learned that the fish/seafood was the best option due to consistently being cooked well. We ordered our normal flounder dinner and were very disappointed. The fish was undercooked (did not flake and was somewhat translucent, and the breading was falling off of the fish. The baked potatoes were overcooked. When my husband went to pick up the food, he had to wait for 30 minutes after the time he was given to arrive.

When we were visiting Asheville, we stayed in some historical cottages right outside of town. We asked several people where we should eat dinner…everyone said Tommy’s. So we drove up the road to Weaverville….not far. It was clearly a meat and 3 place to us….so that was how we ordered. It was great. As we ate we noticed several plates of delicious looking seafood coming out of the kitchen. We decided we should come back and try it! Oh my! I got shrimp and scallops! They were great! Some of the best ever, and everything was extremely reasonably priced! I am going back this spring with friends…I will definitely eat there! If you miss this place, it will be your loss!

Loved it! Biggest burger ever. Two meals worth, couldn’t eat it all. Prices reasonable and staff fantastic. Burger $12.95 and drink $2.10. I had to go back and I got the seafood platter for $19.95 and it was spectacular. If I am ever in this area again, I will definitely return to this gem.

I went on a Friday after work with my son. It was packed!!! I got the tilapia, hush puppies, cole slaw and french fries, I had so much leftovers to take home. My son ordered fried pickles( delicious and a huge plate), we took that home too. You will not go home hungry! Please tip the waitress good, they only get two something an hour and say thank you❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Tommy's has the best jumbo fried shrimp. I've been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the food and service has always been terrific. The servers are friendly and are always checking to make sure you have what you need.
