Went to New China for the first time tonight and it was disappointing. Service was quick but we had very minimal interaction. They did watch us while we waited for our food to be finished which felt awkward. The restaurant had a smell of old cigarettes and it just seemed dingy. The prices were high for not a lot of food and the quality was not great. It had an odd taste to it. I had the chicken lo mein. The chicken didn't taste like chicken in the last piece I ate. I don't believe I'll be returning here or finishing my food.

I always come from the downtown Lexington area to this restaurant and I pass other stores like this on the way. They are the best in this area in my personal opinion. Restaurant and kitchen area is always clean and well kept. I come here often, that the lady at the counter knows what I normally get

Food was on point . Lady took order acted like she didn't want us there. Then my wife wanted to use restroom . They didn't have a working restroom & was open to the public. Last time I checked you can't be open. Needless to say we definitely will not be visiting this nasty establishment again. I should have known because the windows were nasty too

Nice proprietors, very delicious food that's above average in flavor, average prices compared to other Chinese restaurants I've been to from Salisbury to Charlotte. Only issue I've had is that I couldn't find shrimp or pork in the shrimp or pork egg rolls, only cabbage.
What is that smell? Each time I go in there I smell something foul. I gave it the benefit of the doubt, maybe it's broccoli ?? I dunno, but it's not good. I always order lo-mein,and the last 3x I got it, it is way over done. It's over cooked in my opinion. Not the warmest people there. I probably won't go back again.
