We weren't sure what the protocol was at first. Do we wait to be seated? Are there servers? Then the man at the register handed us menus & said sit anywhere & order at the counter when ready. You can see them preparing the food behind them. Everything looked fresh. We got a junior Cuban with plantains & a Havana burger. The food was brought out to us hot & fresh. Drinks were Self serve. The plantains were caramelized & hot. The burger was saucy & stacked....

Picadillo (think Cuban sloppy Joe) was very good. I am not a fan of green olives, but this dish is very tasty. Black beans and rice were good. I added plantains and they were great. My brother got the steak (Palomilla) and it tasted great, but just a little chewy.

I love that the mountains have this little spot — it has such a cozy charm. The place is small but clean, and it really captures that warm, small-town feel. The owner personally took my order and was very kind, which made the experience even more welcoming.
