Thought we would try this out for breakfast. Food was good, arrived quickly. Requested extra butter, didn't receive. Our waitress never came back to check on us, offer more coffee or tea / see if we needed anything, even though she was standing around, not busy. So for the service I give one star.
Always a terrific place for solid breakfast and lunch food. The staff are caring and attentive. The food choices are a little limited and simple, but that's by design for efficiency and cost savings. The quality and care are exceptional and the pricing very fair. Well supported by great locals, so you will always feel welcome and at home.
I stopped by for breakfast while I was in town visiting with the Ashe County Beekeepers group. Very tasty breakfast sandwich. Service and staff were great. Very friendly and seemed genuinely interested in making sure you were happy. The place is a bit hard to find due to the fact that the drugstore that it used to be part of is closed down, so the first time I rode by it because I thought the whole building was vacant, but this little cafe is in the corner of the building...
