I had a 12oz. Steak and I can say, I've been everywhere and ate steak, i put this as the best steak and I will say the best steak, way to go, know other word can describe it, the best steak !!! Further ado i found why this place is the best, the lady owner has been working there for forty years and has owned it for twenty two years, if you would have a steak competition, she would win out against anybody in the state of north carolina period !!!

Food is incredible and the salad bar is DELICIOUS!! Staff is always smiling and working hard!!

Parking: Plethora of parking and you will have no issue finding an open spot!

Kid-friendliness: All the staff get along great with children and never any issues whatsoever!

Went on Monday night only had a buffet we decided to give it a try had 1 small plate paid and left not worth the drive or the cost very disappointed

Love the food and service is always friendly. Salad bar is great too. They have a menu that offers something for everyone. As for the restaurant, it could use some updating. It's a little dark, wallpaper is out of date--just a little sprucing up could make a world of difference. But food is good.

This place was recommended by several locals for the breakfast buffet while we were on vacation in West Jefferson. The food reminded me of my great grandmother’s breakfasts in Mountain City when I was a little kid. Breakfast buffet is only Thursday to Sunday if I remember correctly.

There were a lot of local people, so a family would come in, walk up to their neighbor's table, and have an "excited to see you" conversation so loud it was difficult to talk with my wife across the table from me.

The staff was friendly and food was good. The baked potato was freshly baked, and the filet mignon was delicious, but wasn't cooked exactly as ordered. My wife and I ordered the same cut cooked medium. Her's was cut a little thicker and cooked medium rare; mine was cut thinner and cooked medium well. Still overall, the food and experience was good.

Terrible. Ordered filet and grilled shrimp. Steak came out over cooked. Plate shrimp came on looked like it had dried up blood on the side. Salad bar was slim and tomatoes were rotten. Server didn’t ask once if our food was good. Even when she asked if we wanted boxes and we all had plates full of food and no one wanted a box. When our food was brought to the table, so was the checks. We let the lady at the register know and she argued that we should’ve told the waitress we didn’t like our food and there was nothing she could do about it. She gave a $3 discount for ONE of the meals. (Made it a child’s plate, $9) When I got up to pay she asked, with an attitude, if I was with the lady in front of me, who let her know no one ate their meals and nothing was good, and I said yes. I told her my steak was over cooked and she didn’t offer anything to make it right. As others in our group got up to pay she had an attitude with them as well. Will not be back.

Food was poorly prepared.The meat was dry and overcooked. The vegetable tasteless and out of a can. Menu said turkey but looked like ham , the turkey dressing was deep fried, the dressing looked over fried.
Tea was good but we were not given refills. Waitress was very a sweet girl but probably over worked .
I don't usually give rateings but this meal was the worst meal I have ever had and it was expensive for the quality.
