“went to San Jose's last night food was not very good. the steak burritos were warm and the meat was tough. we spent over $100 any there and we're very disappointed. this is not the first time we've had a problem at San Jose's. one time there was a snail in the salad and one time there was a hair in the food. we were going to go to georgio's but it was a 45-minute wait so we decided to go to San Jose's big. waiter looked new , didn't really get good service. waited on refills for drinks”

“We dropped into Barefoot Sandwich Shoppe on a whim and are so glad we did. The variety on the menu is impressive—there’s something for everyone, whether you’re after a comforting classic or something a little more unique. Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and clearly made with fresh ingredients. We decided to get the cheese steak sandwich, hot dogs, grilled cheese, a veggie wrap and each had a side of their signature crispy fries! The food was so good, I didn’t even get a chance to snap a photo—I dove right in and couldn’t put my fork down. That alone says a lot. The staff was friendly, attentive, and created a genuinely welcoming vibe. The atmosphere was laid-back but inviting, making it a perfect spot to sit back and enjoy a great meal. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. This place is a gem!”

“I didn't realize this was a chain when I stopped in for a snack during my quest to visit all 100 counties.

They were a bit busy but it didn't take too long to get my snacks to go. I didn't try the ice cream or hot food but looked like some good options.

Cute downtown and lots of seating in the common area. Prices were good and the cookie sandwich was very nice. The peanut butter brownie I had later was also pretty solid, although DENSE, definitely one to share!”

“Melvin’s is pure nostalgia. The best down home burgers & dogs spot in the whole of NC. If I could give them more than 5✨, it’d be over a thousand. No matter if you’re stopping in for a quick lunch, or wanting to buy 20 burgers with all the fixings, they don’t bat a single eyelash. If I ever get married again, I’m coming here to get the burgers for the reception. It’s that good! I crave it.”

She always had a smile on her face, and checked on us often. Giorgio’s is very blessed to have this young lady on their staff. I’m be asking for her area from now on .”

“This is my all time favorite Mexican restaurant! Doña Mary is a wonderful lady and the atmosphere is very welcoming. It's always decorated for an added perk to the dining experience. Authentic Mexican food here and it tastes very good, especially the goat and tongue tacos ?? I also recommend the chicken quesadillas and cactus ?? Actually, I would recommend everything on the menu because it's all so good!

“Our party VERY MUCH enjoyed a variety of items including onion petal appetizer, grilled salmon, ribeye and sirloin steaks. The rolls were hot and very soft, the side and Caesar salads were fresh, the loaded baked potatoes were huge, and EVERYTHING was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The server was very attentive and friendly. We hope to return again when we’re in the area.”

“Little country fast food. Staff didn't appear to have any specific tire. They talked about anything & and everything, even if it wasn't appropriate for the atmosphere. The food was good, but the portion was small on the sides for the pricing.”

“Me and my wife have been eating here for years. We've watched the staff's daughter grown from a adorable little waiter's assistant to a more than compatant waitress herself. We have never had a long wait time, we've never had bad service, it is always clean and well maintained, the food is never anything less than great, and while the selection(for the buffet) is only about 14 choices you can mix and match the amounts and what you want cooked to fit your appetite. Overall just a great place to eat if you're craving anything from the chinese/hibachi variety.

Vegetarian options: Both menu and custom hibatchi allow you to make a pretty basic rice or lo mein meal but that all I noticed

Dietary restrictions: The same as most Chinese style resturants but the custom hibatchi let's you make your own meal as well

Parking: Lots of parking in town but it's mostly street parking so busy days can change that

Kid-friendliness: Standard Chinese resturant style seating but some older kids may enjoy making thier own plate (just keep in mind 2 plate minimum and charges for waste)

Wheelchair accessibility: Most tables can just have chairs pulled away for a wheelchair but everything in town has a side walk so keep that in mind when parking. Also the custom hibatchi plate making area is buffet style so arm length may be a factor if you aren't with someone you trust to make a plate for you.”
