“Had opportunity to try this place out finally! Well worth the drive. Ribs and sauce were outstanding. Good smoke ring, perfect texture, hot and tasty! Pulled pork (tried with no sauce on top) was excellent southern style. Beans were sweet and tasty. Cornbread was moist and delicious. Got the ham and biscuit pudding to go…tbd on that! “I wanted to see the Museum of the Albemarle and I wasn't expecting any culinary majesty while visiting Elizabeth City. I WAS WRONG! The food at the Cypress Creek Grill is at least a six! There is a chef back there! Linda and I were late for lunch and early for dinner, so oft times one doesn't expect too much. Let me tell you, Linda's Sea Scallops were sensational, and my New Orleans Barbequed Shrimp was prime delish. The homemade yeast rolls were superb as dipsters in the tangy sauce for the shrimp. The salads were fresh and zesty, and the clam chowder, you must try! Not that familiar with Elizabeth City, we could see the water from this nice eatery, but the service and the food was exemplary.”

“I have came to this establishment about 4 times. And every time I came, the food was very good and a reasonable price. The waitresses are always nice and polite, and this time the owner spoke with me, and he is a nice gentleman and very polite. I have tried the teriyaki chicken, hibachi chicken, and a veggie bowl. All three were delicious but my favorite is the teriyaki chicken. Can't go wrong for a meal and dr.pepper under 11.00. Give them a try you won't be disappointed”

“Update July 2023: Again, the hamburgers were very good. Now the hot dogs, well, those not so much. They look like something from a gas station. That was simply thrown away. The prices are a bit high. Everything has to be ordered separate. No combo or discounts for ordering a whole meal. We had to order seven drinks, six burgers and one hot dog, and seven fries. It was over $80 dollars.July 2, 2023: We had a nice experience. The service was nice. The burgers were very good. I'm very appreciative of those. They seemed to be fresh hamburger. My concern were the tables being wiped down...hence the 4 stars for the atmosphere.”

There can sometimes be a problem with the "language barrier" since most of the employees are Hispanic, but I solved that with printing my order completely in Spanish and giving it to them each time! The only thing I wish they did was to print out orders that come on the chow now asap rather than wait until I come in and ask for my food and they act like they don't know what I'm talking about until they look at the chow now kiosk. So it said my food would be ready for pick up in 15 mins. Once I get there about 20 mins later because I know they are very busy, my food wasn't even noticed until I came in and asked for it. So I actually waited there about 30 mins until all my food was ready. My advise is pay more attention to the chow now kiosk for when orders come through.”

“Amazing way to get exactly what you want at a Hibachi restaurant. Choose the fresh food from a "salad bar" style setting, including rice or noodles, many fresh veggies, and 4 types of meat. They then cook it for you on the Hibachi grill. What you have put on you plate, they serve it up for you, hot and tasty. It is so very good. Best hibachi grill around and can compete with most any hibachi grill anywhere. The atmosphere is typical for a small town and could improve but otherwise, it is great, great, great!Vegetarian options: You choose from the bar what you want to eat. Meat is optional.Dietary restrictions: You can do a full keto meal here if you like.”

“We loved our chicken sandwiches but would it kill someone to actually try to have a clean dining area? Lots of employees in the kitchen but no one bothered to go clean the dining room. The tables were dirty, food on the floor, and the drink station needed attention. That is exactly why I limit my KFC intake.”
