Three of us took the one hour trip from Wilmington specifically to try out Crown BBQ. We were not disappointed! Having lived in Texas, we especially wanted to try the brisket. It was spot on delicious. We also tried the sausage, devilled eggs and beans. All were great. We had a late lunch, so was not crowded. After lunch the owner/chef stopped by and we had a great chat. Do not pass up this gem!

If your looking for bbq look no longer. This is by far some of the best. Not one thing that was ordered was bad. You can tell the passion that is put into this food. The corn side dish was perfection nice touch of cilantro on top just added more addictive flavor. Brisket was top tier by far the best I've ever eaten. Bark superb and melt in your mouth with every bite. Brisket sausage is must. Pork had perfect bark and was succulent. This is the real deal smoked bbq. So if your looking for good real bbq where they know what they are doing 100 percent with meat and ingredients make this your destination. You won't regret it trust me.

Got takeaway bc they were about to close but got a 3 meat combo, brisket, ribs and cheddar brisket sausage. The ribs were fine, the sausage was plump and juicy, but the brisket is the star of the show. Might be the best brisket I’ve had in NC. Slow baked Beans are excellent and go for the banana pudding if you’re partial to sweets.

Legit BBQ! Highly recommend! Was just passing by and saw the BBQ signs and thought, what the heck, might as well try. So very glad I did! They even had a drive thru which was great as I had my toddler with me.Got the brisket: was so juicy and had a great bark!!!Turkey leg: had a great smoke flavor and was still tender and juicy! My husband is jealous as he loves turkey legs!Spare ribs: amazing slightly sweet taste. Was coming off the bone but still had a great chew to it!Coleslaw: had a good flavor, but I personally like a super sweet slaw.Banana pudding: didn’t bother with a picture as let’s face it, it’s banana pudding and never looks pretty, but dang did it taste amazing! Nice chunks of banana in there!!!Seriously, if you are looking for a good smoked bbq, stop in! And let me tell you, Chef Chris will keep you entertained and you will have a great time if you stop in and eat!!!
