The chopped pork bbq was very good, authentic Carolina style from someone who has been eating Carolina bbq for 60 years. I ordered potato salad and cole slaw. It was way to warm. Mentioned to waitress and she said the food had been under the warmer. Come on, you don't put food items that are to remain cold, under the warmer. Never offered to replace it with cold sides. I consider this a big negative and UNHEALTHY!
Mom and Pop restaurant that has been around for many,many years. You step into nostalgic memories, not fancy but friendly, good food.a must stop and grab some authentic great NC barbecue and hushpuppies!!!!
Their meatloaf is good but this time I thought I would try their ribs. They were the absolute worse with the most pitiful presentation! I can’t tell what cut they used because I have never seen ribs with a wide short bone. No smoked taste, suspect par-boiled and only tasted one kind of seasoning salt flavor. No sauce was offered either. They were meaty but just too strange and unappetizing for me. I trashed after 2 bones. Total waste of money.
