We were looking for a restaurant with a patio because we had a puppy with us and found the Chef and Frog. What a great discovery! The food was delicious and the staff extremely gracious and attentive even though we were the only ones on the patio.

I had a very nice dining experience at this restaurant today. I guess this is my 4th visit over the years. I have never been disappointed. The spicy Thai shrimp appetizer was delicious , a large quantity of shrimp very fresh and the shrimp were large.. the Japanese Wagyu beef was melt in your mouth, tender, and cooked to perfection. I also had roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Both were perfect and fresh.. the dessert of the day was apple pie. It was wonderful. Highly recommended restaurant with passing through Whiteville on the way to the coast or heading through this area on the way home.. actually it's not too far when you're at the coast to make a trip there and return to your vacation. That's what I did. All prices were extremely reasonable concerning the quality of the food.

The food was absolutely over the top, OMG, it was fabulous. The Manager went above and beyond, to make the event enjoyable for our Engagement Couple. I would Highly recommend The Chef and The Frog, for all of Your upcoming parties or events, as they are phenomenal. #1 in my book.

Quite a pleasant dining experience! The presentation of the food was very nice, artistic and creative. The Chef's use of natural and fresh ingredients were very pleasing to the palate. We did not feel that the food was over seasoned, or overcooked. If you are ever in Southern North Carolina, don't pass up this hidden gem, you will not be disappointed!

Phenomenal food (the wagu steak special with a crab cake on top, and the sweet potato polenta cake instead of asparagus, and fried potato wedges; and chocolate mousse and a special: brown-sugar pound cake with sautéed apples, both for dessert)... all for less than $100 with a really good tip. It was some of the best food I've ever had, and the service was incredible too--very welcoming of both me and my sweet dog, and really kind and respectful to the other patrons as well. I can't wait to come back

Fabulous menu, service and food. I love French cuisine, and this place is such a find. Starting with a small baguette and escargot, moving on to swordfish & pork belly, it was all delicious. Service was perfect and we enjoyed chatting with the owners to learn the history of the restaurant. Nous voulons revenir!
Great food and even better service! We tried the pad Thai, crab sandwich and quesadilla and everything was great. We will definitely come back!
Oh and they were very attentive to our little one. She even got to meet the chef (she’s still super excited about that)

Owner must be new to management. Had a large party booked for special occasion. We got put back into a non air conditioned room. Sweating the whole dinner. Manager comes in and was rude and not helpful to the situation

I had the oriental tuna let me tell you it was phenomenal ! Would highly recommend it! My 7 year old and 5 year old were eating more off my plate than theirs they enjoyed the tuna , sautéed spinach, and green beans so much! Definitely my favorite dish so far. The filet mignon with the peppercorn sauce was also amazing! Definitely our two favorite dishes this far!!!!

My first trip, and I was just blown away! The space is lovely, with 3 rooms, one for casual dining, one for more formal dining and a meeting room for business functions. There is also a cozy bar in the back. We were there for lunch, and the burger with peppercorn-brandy sauce was one of the best burgers I've ever had. They also offer steaks, including A5 wagyu, if you are looking for something heavier. Service was excellent, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Absolutely cannot wait to go back!
