Okay burger. Okay dogs. Nothing special but worth a stop if you need a bite. Melvins in Etown is the king of burgers in this area. No sweet tea, only drinks.

My number 1 place to visit! Whether I travel from California Or Texas when I come back to North Carolina this is where I go! I have grown up on this place as a child and as an adult I must say I buy at least 8 burgers every time I visit! I love this family and how they have stole my tummy to this burger!!!?

Nice people, the person in front of me didn’t have cash they said just to take the food and bring it back later which was really cool. A couple of weeks ago I came across a best burger in NC post and they were mentioned. Decided to stop today and try the burger, and I’ll give my honest opinion on it. The burger was just “okay.” I’d compare it to a burger your mom would make in the kitchen just round and not really compressed, it had a hint of pink as you can tell they basically drop them on the grill and let them cook. The toppings available were mustard, onions, and chili so they lost some points from me by not having slaw, there was also ketchup on the counter. Overall it’s a decent burger for 4.00 however wouldn’t make a top 10 in NC list for sure!
